Klipsch RF-7 main, RF-5 rear. Demoed RC-7 center which was great match, but didn't buy as I watch very little tv/movies, and for music the center channel didn't add much (but was great for HT) Very, very happy with RF-7 main/RF-5 rear combo for both HT & music. Have enough bass that I have yet to seriously consider a sub. at times slightly bright depending on source material and system set up, but otherwise exceptional sound for the money. Big, broad sound with bass to spare, but also clean and clear, and very capable of bringing out the best (and worst if not properly recorded) of my CD collection. While not the best system I've heard (B&W powered by McIntosh, or Martin Logan powered by Krell and can't remember other components, was 5 years ago but still remember the sound...), it's the best I've heard at this price point. Current system is denon 2805 & 2910 DVD/CD, powered by demo Cary Cinema 5, (hopefully soon to demo rotel amp & B&K amp) looking forward to upgrade to possibly rotel flagship processor & rotel 5 channel amp, or who knows... still shopping.

Oh-there's... :)

Acoustic research -

ARVP600 towers
AR something-or-other center
AR HC-6 surrounds (lots of 'em, gotta support that Yammie presence/rear surround dealie)

SVS 20-39PCi subwoofer

All I can say is this system sounds just terrific - and all I really have to do is see the look on the faces of my guests.

Heighdy ho! :)

I've got a pair of Veritas 2.3i floorstanding speakers and I couldn't be happier.

Am looking to replace my sub which does not deserve to live in such company. Even with relatively large floorstanders, a sub makes for a more natural and authoritative sound.

Even a crappy sub.

Looking for a good inexpensive set of rear surrounds

I am looking for a set of small, inexpensive surrounds that can be mounted by hanging from screws for my rear surrounds. I currently have Def Tech BP 2002s in the front; C/L/R in the center and BP2Xs as my main surround speakers. Any suggestions? Please also reply to larrysoutherland@bellsouth.net.

Just got my new Energy Connoisseur system, featuring C9 fronts, a C-C1 centre channel, and C-R1 bi-pole speakers as the surrounds. So far I am very impressed... they are every bit as good as they were when I auditioned them at Bay Bloor. :D
