What should I upgrade next?

.....Mtry, what room conditions alter concerning speakers is it's dispersement paths, no?......

Just about everything about a room will affect the sound. Its shape, dimensions, too many reverberant surfaces, perhaps too much absorption, placement, openings and on it goes.
