I'm not sure if your underestimating the sound that video games use, or if you are right about that. BTW video games now are probably the audio worlds next big consumer. Devolopers have magnificent sound studios set up, and they are planning on using 5.1, 6.1, and 7.1 surround sound on the next-generation of gaming. You may want to borrow an xbox n play some halo 2 just to hear it.

Well, I am not into gaming so I don't really know how important the sound can be, or how much high quality one wants out of those mixes. But, if you desire the equivalence to music, then you need to upgrade the speakers, and perhaps check your room acoustics as well as that has a major roll in sound quality.

My room is about 23 feet long, but its a wierd room. The area where my tv front speakers ect. is in is 9 feet wide, about 5-6 feet back is a 3 and a half foot widening, and about 10 feet back from there is another 3 and a half foot widening. My surround speakers right now are about 12 feet back from the wall where my tv is at.

acoustech or the SVS?
.....I assume you mean the 5.1 packages, Shadow....it will take a bit more power to run the SVS's, but there's no doubt in my mind they will sound very good....and you'd be home with another PB 10, whenever you could....you're going to want to replace the accoustech 100 sub that comes with the accoustech package most probably....and to have two PB 10's outside of a package would run you right at an even thou....

.....all right, guys, he'll have an Onkyo SR701 reciever pushing a 5.1 set of the new SVS main's regiment....sensitivity, was it 85?.....

.....Gentlemen, I believe that is very good potential for sound quality for the sensitivity to be 85 db/1/1....3 Outlaw mono-blocks for $900, decent receiver, that main's regiment with two PB 10's spread somewhere below the soundstage, could be reeeal nice.....JGarcia's endorsements of the PB 10 brought it home for me....he wanted it over an HSU 2....it would have to be VERY clean, and possess enough positives for it to not be moved out over an HSU 2....the battle of the 10's may be decided soon....could a Velodyne 10 be actually the best?....Energy?....Merlin Hogan's?.....

.....edit....yeah, sorry, Martin Logan.....

yes i understand, just sometimes it is interesting to see (and hear) those expensive speakers, and then compare them to much cheaper speakers and see how miniscul the difference is.
