Actual Lament configuration box has been acquired. It's protected by glass lest someone be tempted to pick it up and start fiddling with it. It opens doors....

I purchased 2 of these BluRay players for $88.00 each at Walmart and gave one to each of my daughters.

Sorry about your father.
That is a nice retro system he left to you.
Thank you, man!! Very nice of you to say that. The whole affair was really sad as he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. So your mourning gets all confused; you would want him to live, but that would mean more suffering.

The equipment he left still holds high regards and even keeps a price to itself. Speakers play beautifully, but they are a total overkill for my apartment (240 square feet if I can trust the calculator - 22 square meters).

That's the actual source of my headache now; to keep or not to keep. I feel bad thinking about selling something I got in this manner.

Picked up some items for the road bike.
New seat bag. Never used one before but this one really tucks under the seat and most important is silent.

New bottle cages. Not carbon but cannot see spending that much.

And some new bar tape for the new season. This will be a bit of an experiment going with the tri color scheme. My Ridley does have the Belgian colors on it so this seemed cool.

LOL was just watching Fleche Wallone speaking of Belgium (was kinda hoping Valverde would win but oh well). I agree the seat bag needs to tuck nicely under the seat and any noise or movement would drive me nuts. I like King ti cages myself.

I was heavy into home theater until 4 years ago and have finally got back into it. I started 3 months ago with a 32” Samsung QLED 4K Monitor, a Sony V444ES receiver with Wharfedale Diamond 9.6’s, 9CC & 9.0 surrounds with a Wharfedale SW250 I paid $250 for it all. Sold the Sony for $100, the 9.6’s for $250 and the 9.0’s for $120 and went to a Denon AVR-X2200W I got for $150 with a pair of Martin Logan Motion 10’s, a Motion 8 and two Motion 2’s for $75 and upgraded my tv to a TCL 5 series 43”. Than sold the ML 10’s and ML 8 for $420, the 2200W for $300 and the 43” TCL for $300 as it was three weeks old. Finally I had scraped together enough to start building the system I loved years ago. I got a Denon AVR-X3300W for $300, TCL 6 series 55” for $529, a pair of Mirage Omni 260’s with the Omni CC & LF150 for $120. Sold the LF150 for $100 got a pair of Omni 60’s for surrounds and than wanted to try bi-polar speakers so I got some Mirage MBS’s for $60, gave those to my father and sold my Omni 60’s for $300, got a pair of Cambridge Soundworks Tower II’s for surrounds and a pair of Def Tech Pro Cinema 600’s for top middles. I was waiting for another pair of Omni 260’s or even OMD-28’s to come along but I’ve given up. So! I purchased a Definitive Technology CLR2500 in the original box brand new old stock for $250 and that’s coming next week. I’m currently debating on e-Bay which super towers to get so I’ll have matching bi-polar mains and I do love the Omni 260 sound so they’ll be moved to the rear for surround duty until I can find a cheap pair of BP6’s or 8’s. Also looking at getting either 5 monoblock amps or a 5 channel amp or at a minimum a two channel to take some of the stress off the 3300 and from what I understand standalone amps can offer better fidelity. I kept the SW250 as for a 10” 250 watt RMS sub it’s not too bad but besides the Def Tech Mains my next purchase is a mid range subwoofer.

I hear you. My dad had dementia before he died from a heart attack a few years back. Whatever you decide your dad did leave them to you so I wouldn't feel bad about whatever you decide to do with them. Do you have a close relative or friend who might want to purchase them? Keep it in the family so to say.

Uh, I hate to tell you this, but when they talk about "shuffle play" in audio, they are talking songs, not gear!

Seriously, you've done some great horse-trading!

I am a fan of the Mirage Omni OMD-28's and that series. I assume the 260 might be similar? In any case, I would A-B compare the Omni's vs the DefTech before swapping them out just to make certain you are making the right call. I have never heard DefTech, but I know they are popular, so they may be better than the Omni's, but it makes sense to compare before you swap!

Hahaha yeah man in New England I often come across deals from people who either don’t know what they have and for whatever reason don’t even bother Googling it or on the opposite end of the spectrum you have people who think their 1999 Onkyo Tower Speakers with “TWO 10” SUBWOOFERS” are worth $400. A guy who was looking at the LF150 I sold told me he probably wouldn’t need it because he had those Onkyo’s and my subwoofer was only a 10”. The issue being is that my subwoofer for sale was actually a subwoofer not 10” woofers fundamentally misunderstood as to what they do.

I need to get one of those if they are still available. Running a Sony blue ray player now but its 5 years old. Thanks for the info.
Unless here is something else you don't like, I would not consider 5 years near death for a Sony BD player! Just use it until it dies, then get a new one. I have Sony CD players from the 80's that still work fine! Not sure why a BD player would not work as long.
Also your Sony BD will play SACD's!!!

Thanks my Sony BD works fine I only use it for Video. So I don't use it all that much anyway since I play my CDs though my NAD C516BEE CD player. Don't have any SACDs so the NAD is good for audio. I also have a 6 year old Sony DVD player in storage I kept is just in case one of my in use decks quits. Anyway that is heck of a price but I really don't need it so I'll spend the $88 elsewhere. Thanks again.

Looks like I will be buying some work on my STI :( Though it only has 30K, it is ~8 years old. Since water pressure and oil pressure seem OK, it is likely ringland failure or turbo seals, both of which are likely. Ringland is a known issue and Subaru has extended warranties regarding that, but mine is so old it may not be covered.

That stinks. I am looking at a couple of WRX models now. Leftover 2018 STI and a 2019 WRX limited. I am getting better feedback from the dealer with the 2019 so that will probably be the one. Don't know if I can drive around with that big wing at my age anyway.

You don't notice the wing so much from inside, at least I don't, but I've owned winged cars before. You can also order it with a smaller WRX style wing or no wing.

For sure I'd go with the STI though, a very different car than the WRX and a better drivetrain, despite being the old one.

There are no obvious signs of any failures, so shop says it may be nothing to worry about yet. My thoughts are it is a precursor to something to come. Oil & water pressure are fine, boost seems normal, no smoke from oil filler neck, and it drives normal, so might be anomaly.
