I use those on my amp side because I don't like pulling everything out when one accidentally gets bumped.
I understand why, now that I have them. I only wish I knew about these before I made my speaker cables using the Monoprice banana plugs. No worries, I'm going to make the change this weekend and be happy!

My Carnegies and my previous GRs didn't accept these, so I don't have them on my cables on the speaker side.

I understand they have a lifetime warranty. Yours. Trouble is you can't collect and they know it. ;)

My latest, and it just happens to be AV related.
After those speaker cables I knew there was no chance in hell it was a one time deal. As I understand you made some for your son?? :D And so it began!

I haven't made the set of three (L-C-R) for my son yet, but when I do they surely will get those locking banana plugs from Blue Jeans Cable! I will wait for him to decide which color sheathing he (or his fiancé) wants before committing to the process.

Bought new receiver (Denon AVR3000) from Accessories4less to replace an old Onkyo TSX602. Love the features (Audessy especially). A great side benefit is the Internet radio feature that I wasn't even really thinking about when purchasing. Love listening to the Linn Classical and jazz stations.

Bought two of these from Costco online , one each for the Mrs. and me, after my last backpack gave out. Ordered them Sunday and they showed up yesterday.

This is my guest receiver for awhile. It is Yamaha RX-V496RDS I got for 120$. There was one for 90$ but that one skipped. Still, all seems fine at the moment.

You'll banish me from the forums, but I’ll be damned if I don’t hear the difference between this one and the NAD that was playing until now. Still, first I have to go through settings to see whether there are some effects turned on to make such a claim.

Forgot to say it looks like out of the box!

Why would we ban for you that?
I think this is general and agreed sentiment here on forums - effect that electronics have on end sound is absolutely minimal as long it's used below limits and yammi is knows to build solid stuff even for lower ranges

Yeah, I was just kidding. Could you drop by my "Give me an amp crash-course" and give me an advice on impedance? I just got home and can't wait to play it, but I didn't want to crank it until I solve this.

Well, sorry for that! You're probably right, but this seemed like something that could cause damage if set wrong and you can find all sorts of things on the Internet.

Manual is not so clear on this. It lets you choose while the manual from the speakers names two values: 8Ω (min. 3.2Ω).
To me it looks like one of those; "you can choose ANY option, ANY indeed (but one will fry your system)!! Go ahead, choose!":)

Bought this for my wife to see her photographs on the big TV. Works great w/ her iPad and both our iPhones. In addition, streaming works!!! Doesn't sound like a big deal to y'all, but we have never been able to get enough speed for streaming w/o jitter and/or buffering. Now we can. Finally moved into the new millennium.

Most of the new devices have good buffering so they work well even your internet isn't as fast. It may take a bit to queue up, but once running should be pretty good.

Bought a backup, yep they are really nice. These go for $50-60, so $10 is a steal. :)

I just received the ones I got on your recommendation. Thanks Joe!
Not sure I can let my daughter take these to college!
They are clean sounding with lovely bass response.
I wish I could put my finger on what makes the bass so good!
I'm not a bass head and have a strong dislike of exaggerated bass (which is a disappointment of many cans to my ears). An attempt at guessing is that the bass goes very deep without any over emphasis.
Whatever it is, I'm grooving on it!
Theses are definitely in the same league as quality $70-100 headphones (but with better bass)!
Nice find at $10 (open box)!!!

I was curious if they had more of these, and the price is up to $24 now. Still a fantastic buy, but not the steal it was.

I thought you bought 2 like I suggested? ;) They are way too good aren't they? For $24 it's still a good deal! They do go on sale for $18 sometimes. I paid $14 for my first pair. :)
Newegg charges for a new pair: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0AJ3X09400&cm_re=Philips_SHL3300-_-9SIA0AJ3X09400-_-Product
Glad you really like them KEW they are a gem.
Next time they for $10 please let me know. May just order a couple of sets for my needs. Really don't use phones that much. But, there are times I wished I had a set. Does look like a very good deal.

Cheers,

Phil

It looks like Amazon has them new for $19.
Also have in gray with blue accents FWIW:

I have been listening to them more. and I suspect the bass is tipped up over a specific range, but it is well done (at least I like it for most music) and it doesn't come through as bloat to my ear.
