As of right now I am invested in the Martin Logan motion foundation line up. I currently have the c1 center and two b1 bookshelf’s that will eventually be rears once I’m able to purchase 2 f2 floor speakers. I have a rsl speed wooder 12s coming in the mail as my sub. Just really trying to achieve a fantastic overall system/setup that isn’t cheaping out but also isn’t crushing the bank. So VERY open to other brands and set ups. So if there was a line up you think I should invest in instead please list it!

I'm not sure I understand your question. I think you already have a c1 center and two b1 bookshelf speakers and one rsl speedwoofer 12s. Based on a quick google search, this adds up to about $1,900. This leaves another $600-$3,100 before you hit $2,500-$5,000.

Are you asking if you hypothetically should have bought more expensive speakers so you hit the $2.5-$5K budget?

Are you asking if you should return one or more of the speakers you already have, and you're willing to spend $2.5K-$5K to get different bookshelves, center, and sub, with future floor standing speakers going above the $5K limit?

Or does the $2.5-$5K budget include the floor standing speakers you intend to buy in the future?

Does the $2.5-$5K "line up" refer to speakers only, or are you asking the best way to spend another $600-$3,100 on the overall system given the speakers you already have?

What is the intended us of this system? Since you bought a center, it appears that you intend to use this for HT. Is this correct?

How big is the room?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're asking.

Yes I have a two b1s and one c1. With the goal of buying two f2s. With the amount of money I’m going to be spending what are some others that comparable or better while my book shelf and center are still returnable.

If you love the sound of the ML B1 and C1 and you already have them, then I would definitely get the F2.

I prefer to keep all the speakers within the same brand.

But a lot of speakers will sound great. Chances are, you will also love the sound of other brands.

RBH is another great brand.

I have not heard any of the speakers on your list and I have not seen any detailed reviews either. This is a very competitive segment of the market and there are a lot of good speakers in this price range (good in terms of sound vs cost).

Okay, to the point, I really don't know, but my general impression is that ML speakers you have and are planning to buy are probably pretty solid.

I tend to think the towers will be the most important component (other than possibly the center, but that's a huge can of worms). The F2s seem to get good reviews so I'm guessing you'll be in the ballpark in terms of bang for the buck.

I have a pair of Philharmonic Audio BMRs and I really like them (truth be told I'm slobbering fan boy of these speakers, which may mean I'm biased without realizing it).

Here are the measurements for the BMRs:

So far I have not found equivalent measurements for the ML F2. And, of course, measurements aren't the full story. The BMRs measure well, but they actually sounded better in my room than I expected. I attribute this to the accurate off axis sound which reduces the amount of mucked up reflective sound in-room, but I'm not 100% sure if this is it (I honestly didn't think off-axis sound was that much of a factor before I bought the BMRs, but now I tend to think it is, or at least it can be in some rooms)(I have 3 HT systems, but none of them are in a HT room with acoustic treatment, ideal dimensions, etc.)

Given that the prices are almost identical it would be interesting to do a blind A/B test of the BMRs against the ML F2s.

Take my slobbering on about the BMRs with a grain of salt. I really don't know how they'd compare to the F2s.

The Philharmonics are likely to be much more neutral. The MartinLogans are likely to have a greater dynamic range. MartinLogans have been such a crapshoot lately that I wouldn't trust any of their speakers unless I had extensive personal experience, even within product lines.

If you're looking and are not sure, speakers with a flat response and good directivity would be my choice, then EQing the sound to your liking would be easier. It's all about your room and the goal of speaker expectations, highly dynamic or not.
