I was wondering if this is something that can simply be fixed with a stainless self tapping screw?
Unless you really think you'll need/use a tap & die set.
As for the Greenlee set. They make tools primarily for the electrical trade. Their set probably won't be the best fit for all work in general.

Rule #1: Magnets are your friend.

Assuming that the screws are magnetic, then a magnet-tip screwdriver helps a lot. And, a strong magnet on a string is a very handy tool! You simply pass it all around the area where you think the metal part dropped. I have found many RC car parts after a spectacular crash with that method.

I will also have a need for a tap and die set in the near future, so I'm really glad we have this info on here now.

My first guess would be that Del built it. Ask Dennis.

At first, I wondered if you've already dismantled those cabinets :confused:. But then I remembered, the XO housing was separate, sits under the bass cabinet (?), and probably is open on one side, exposing miters, splines, and biscuits.

Once I started paying Netflix for online streaming, I can watch their stuff on my TV via the wifi enabled BR player, or on my computer. Just log on and start. I find navigating around Netflix much easier on my computer than on that Panasonic BR player. It's remote control was terrible. I found that my TV remote (also Panasonic) does just about everything on the BR player, much easier.

That's where careful preparation comes in. You'll need a lawn chair and 2 of your Guldens.
First: Drink one of the Guldens
Next: Set up the lawn chair so you have an unobstructed view of the light and porch area
Next: Sit in the chair and open the second Guldens
Then: Send your wife up the ladder to clean out the spiders
You can film it if you want. Does America's Funniest Home Videos still have a $10,000 prize?

The original screw was brass. At least it was brass colored. Knowing it was Chinese made, I guess I can't be sure. It's an outdoor light fixture and is made to be rust proof, all aluminum or brass. Most grades of stainless steel are also non-magnetic. A quick & easy test to identify cheap stainless steel, that might not be that rust proof, is to see if a magnet sticks to it.

Yeah, I gotcha, and I didn't read the entire thread, merely browsed it. But, magnets have saved me a lot of hassle many times, a good strong magnet should be in everyone's toolbox.

I found using a conventional remote to take much longer to enter email addresses and what not with the Netflix sign in. I'm mostly use to it but I have the same thing going on now with the two Panasonic remotes here in the spare room.

I only knocked the trim off the base/xo housing and shifted the housing over.

All right man I can take a hint. I still owe you a birthday present and I couldn't find one that would top the one you gave me. At least I know what you want. Consider it done. Do you have a preference for the taps?
 
Maybe Cheryl would like a nice tap set for Christmas. I get the best ideas here.

It took me a ridiculously long time to understand the meaning of that post. I read it four or five times. Please don't write confusing things before all of my meds kick in.

To qualify as double or triple entendre, I would think it has to be clearly intentional.

Bryce's posts may not have qualified as single entendre.
