Last night I watched "Horn From The Heart" , a documentary on Paul Butterfield, a white native of Chicago. This white native is a huge fact because his band was a mix of very talented black and white, musicians, one of a very few mixed bands if any during the early 60s. The two black artists he stole from Howlin Wolf's band. Some people consider him to be the best harmonica player ever. Everyone who is into blues must watch this. He is credited for making blues accessable to the white audience.

I watched a documentary on a Canadian Blues Band called Downchild Blues Band. The Blues Brothers modelled themselves after the bandleader (guitarist) and his late brother (singer of the band). The song "Soul Man" was written by the Downchild Blues Band.

Curious, why are people posting snapshots of the actual film that they are watching?

Then again I know a couple where the wife chooses the movies based on what she can see in advance....so she might enjoy this. I'm already familiar with the bulk of the movies posted.....I use this more as an idea thread, not needing the visualization in any meaningful way.....altho a classic promo poster is always nice :)
