Another screwball on the loose. This is what happens when family marries family.
Good luck with this nutcase. Let us know when he's been fixed.

Something to consider...Should you have any other problems with this guy, it would be very easy to get a restraining order. If you paint a picture to the court about the hug that started his delusions, to the PI that he hired, the harassing phone calls and unspecific threats, then the court should easily grant you a restraining order.

A restraining order would be a really good tool for Law Enforcement. If he contacted you or your wife in any way, he would be in violation of the order and criminal charges would be filed. One thing you don't know is if this guy actually follows you. If he were within 100 yards of you with having a legal reason to be in close proximity, then he would also be in violation of the order.

The order would give Law Enforcement a lot more to work with should the shenanigans continue.

Just my 2 cents.

Also, maybe its time you get a Concealed Weapons Permit :)

if you are not "preparing' yourself, you are a fool. this guy could, and may, "good off" on you/family.

if it were me. i would have a meeting with all involved + the police.
and tell the guy "if you mess with me/family AT ALL, i will defend to the death!"
stay the %&@$ AWAY FROM ME/family !!!!!!!!!!!!
and say it in a VIOLENT way !!!
and then pack a .45 .

chit like this SHOULD NOT be taken lightly. looks to me it is a case of "him or me"

guess which i would choose....

as always = ymmv

GOOD LUCK with that
In Texas you assume gun ownership rather than not. I think this guy needs mental help.

The problem with restraining orders is that crazy people don't care about them.

go park in the guys driveway. drink beers & throw the bottles in his yard and on his roof, play loud music, & piss on his front door, and his dog (if he has one). all while wearing a 666 t-shirt.

Yes, this is not a joking matter:eek:
Call the police and also get a restraining order on him, period. Nothing to discuss as he sounds very dangerous and unpredictable. It might be good to get a recording or ask the police if they want to record.
People get killed over this kind of stuff.

So the 3 of them meet for 2.5 hours this morning. At first his wife was very defensive and says she knows it was me that called her. My wife reminded her that she has never really even talked to me besides saying "hi" and "bye" the 2 times we met.

My wife also said that I was willing to take a lie decector test or have the recording analyzed by the firm of their choice on my dime so we could figure this out. She said that he would never release the recording.

She then broke out a story that her husband has it in for me because when we were leaving the happy hour, 1 year ago, I hugged her "bye" which is typical me. He hired a PI after that at 3k/mo to watch her and she thinks that they came up with a plan that involved me to try to catch her doing something. She says he tells her all the time that he thinks she is messing around with me. She also said that he told her to tell us he is sorry and he just wanted to forget about it.

Weird that they came over to my party after that but he just set in a chair and didn't talk to anyone and turned down drinks each time I asked him. I bet he just wanted to know where I lived. (I have a picture of him just setting there all night if you want to see it)

After the meeting, his wife met mine in the parking lot and said please forgive me, Joel just has a lot of issues. I don't want to lose a friend over this and mine said "too late", .

The boss either fired her then or she quit, I'm not sure of that yet as my wife isn't home yet.

I'm sure my buddy will run him and if anything shows up, he will take him in. I have seen it before.
Just be careful. He seems to be a ticking time bomb. Who knows what may set him off.

You should set up one like this for him when he sat there all day at your party.:D He will wake up and most likely love you to death.

Thats very true. A piece of paper never protects you from anything; however, it works as a great tool for law enforcement. The guy will be arrested if he is in violation of any section of the order. A violation of the order may be enough to place him on probation and as a result, he will be constantly watched by the system. Not to mention if this guy is found snooping around the area and has made a few statements about inflicting harm, then you can charge stalking and possibly criminal/terrorist threats. The legal definition of terrorist is different than that of the societies.

Holy $hit G.....

This is just freakin psycho....

How is Carolyn holding up on this, stuff like this tends to wear thin the patient skin....

I sure hope someone locks this douchebag down - as everyone has already stated, sounds like hes at his wits end likely knowing his wife is cheating on him and he feels the need to finally do something about it...

Glad your wife is distancing you guys from both of them... Certainly sounds like he's gunna pop sooner or later. Maybe your cop buddy talked to him and caught him in time before something really bad happened either to you guys or someone else (the real cheater)

Good luck...

Armed to the teeth... !!!

My woman and I were discussing this last night and I thought I would add her thoughts here which seemed to sound spot on to me...

Seems this guys wife is likely cheating on him and he just can't figure out who it is, and for her to drop a name to avert his suspicion in a different direction by hinting it was "the Dawg" This woman is probably cheating with someone extremely close to her husband ie. his best friend or his brother...

Correct us if we are wrong...

Any updates to this Gregg...?

Maybe he's schizophrenic and she's cheating with one of his other personalities. He may just be PO'd that she does things with the other "him" that she never does with the regular "him".

Geesh. I'm scarce for a few days and I miss all the drama. This sounds like one of those old ABC movies of the week. There are some crazy people in this world. I'm glad you have your police friend to watch your back.

Stay safe bro.
