Well, get inline...

I am betting the sub will sound boomy under there. IMO not the place to put it.
I'm going to disagree. Isolated form Boundaries usually means leaned out. However, it could have extremely limited low end due to the lack of boundary gain. Also, there could be a fair bit of cancellation.

I probably won't put the DSP inline, Just use it as an analysis tool. Something to use to help me find a sweet spot for the sub and it's settings
If u have the tools learn how to use them;)

That sub has gotten a number of positive reviews from people that have actually bought one. I'm happy for you. My brother has a Polk and likes it, and so does one of my friends.

Be sure to let us know how you like it once you get it integrated into your system. Thanks!
Well, I installed the sub last night. First impressions are: It needs a remote, the position I placed it in requires that I slide it out every time I want to change the volume settings; I love the look of the sub, it's very well built and you can tell the cab is stout, I do kinda wish it had a front mounted port, the cone looks lonely on its big silver faceplate.

During setup I had a little trouble with volume levels. Using the setup mic supplied by Denon I ran the Auto-setup function and let it do it's thing. Even at 30% volume on the sub my receiver still turned it down to -4.5dB output.

I haven't really had a chance to listen to it at any lengths, my first thoughts are it sounds great with my RTi10's. I did listen to a few songs though. First was Genesis by Justice. With the receiver set on stereo I was using only my RTi10's and the PSW505. All the listening was done at unity, 0.0 dB. I could tell it was loud but everything sounded so clear. The bass was thumping but it was defined, i honestly expected more boominess from being set up underneath my Ent center like it is. I was enjoying the music when i tried to talk to my brother who was sitting maybe 4 feet away. He couldn't hear me yelling... shew, that system is loud!

Next song was Ain't Nothing Wrong With That, Robert Randolph and The Family Band. With the receiver set at unity and the sub ALL THE WAY UP, I still heard very little-to-no distortion and through testing last night, I have yet to make the sub beg for mercy.

I watched a little bit of Transformers with the sub and found it added to the experience. It doesn't reach as deep as I'd like but then again, I'm a bassist and have to feel it before I think it's bass.

I'm out for the weekend but on return I'll be running some tests with my RTA to see just how well the system responds. I'll update soon.

Thanks for the first impressions!

You better update that system picture in your signature. ;)

I've never understood the logic in placing the only origin for your low frequencies off to one side. Doesn't that make for un-even coverage and pull the lower frequencies of the sound stage towards the position of the sub?
No - subwoofer frequencies are not localizable by humans. A properly set up and performing sub can be behind you, but the source of the sound will still seem to be the main speakers.
