Vacation plans, anyone?

Just curious if any of you have any big plans for the holidays this year.

I'm planning on taking about half of December off from work this year. That's going to be sweet! I don't plan on going anywhere, but hopefully my parents will come visit for a while. Either way, I'll be able to relax a bit and keep Niki company during the day. Plus, it'll give me a chance to work out a bit and get some stuff done around the house.

Loved Aruba last year, but dont stay at RIU hotel food sucks, not worth it.

My new found passion for vacations - villas rentals

Probably Fargo, North Dakota for Thanksgiving.

Could be warm, could have a blizzard. It's a regular vacation destination!

Very big plans for this year and next year... but we have a strategy not to say so much about the plans to all the world.... until it's a reality.... but we will defintely go abroad for X-mas.... we always do now :p

When I check the records, I can see that we already had 6 trips abroad this year... our CO2 record is not so good......

Best so far this year was Berlin, very nice city

With kids in the mix all of our vacations have basically been put on hold for a while.

We are going to Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of days (starting today!) which the kids absolutely love. For those who have kids and live close enough, the place is awesome.

Going to take the week after Christmas off because if I don't use my vacation time I will lose it. Even after taking that week off at Christmas I will still have about three weeks of vacation time left at work. Not sure how I'm going to use it next year, but I expect it will be used when/if we move into a new house.

Now Adam know which houses to rob over the holidays :D
He'll have to get by my fierce guard animal!

He might meow at you to the point of being mildly annoyed.

Maybe I'll see you there. Won't know it's you, but still may see you.;)

I'll be with my 4'7" Philippina wife, our 2 year old little girl and her 78 year old grandma on one of those mini you-go-carts.

Have fun! But stay away from Celebration Hospital. I ended up there for 3 days the last time I went to DisneyWorld. It wasn't Disney's fault but did the ambulance crew really have to haul me out the front door of the resort in full view of everyone like it was just another show? Then the hospital was so understaffed, the nurse let the saline solution run out while I was getting the potassium IV. NOT COOL! Plus it took over 3 hours to get out because no could be bothered to get a wheel chair up to me. I was ready to walk out on my own.

But go have fun! Wear sunglasses so you can't be busted for what you are looking at. I'm just sayin'....;)

PS - looks like I get out of going to Fargo. Yeah!
Boss wants to stay home for Thanksgiving. Her only demand is pumpkin pie that is NOT gluten free since my bro's family has all gone gluten free.

Gluten free stuffing?

We spent a week up in Cleveland for our nephew's graduation. Our daughter flew up and Nancy and I made a 4 day road trip out of it. We did all six distilleries of the Burbon Tour in KY and spent a day or so in Nashville. After leaving OH, we took another few days on the way home. Had a lot of fun that trip.

That trip along with a ton of unexpected expenses including $4K in vet bills for our stupid cat, made us decide to stay home this holiday. We usually rent a cabin in the mountains for Thanksgiving... something we started a few years ago... but I think we'll just hang out here.
