I’ve always wondered what if you say use a test cd and a spl meter to set an eq after you’ve run a calibration then set the peq to through and bypass then set the manual eq as close as a spl meter will allow.
Then rerun ypao and let the onboard peq handle the remaining fine tuning after you’ve manually got it as flat as you can what would be the effect signal wise be . Most inhome outboard eq’s usually are set at 70 to 75 db at 1 watt one meter . Most auto correction programs are run at 70 to 75 db to . Would you end up with a flatter signal being produced or would it ignore it and set the peq to what it reads .
