Enough information is exactly given, that you and others would shoot down the idea. You and everyone else who chimed in, proved my point. You are just waiting to prove someone wrong. Tell me your reasoning that another opinion is incorrect. You mad at the world?
Us and everyone else who stopped manufacturing them, buying them or using them...

Many people still use. Look at the online demand. Some people choose to play vinyl, listen to cassette tapes, reel to reel, as well as graphic eq.

Funnel through the eq. As the original post said. Where do you download your service manuals?
Don't know what a service manual has to do with it, but yes, back to the extra switches/gear and restrictions of the analog input....probably easier just to use the graphic eq built into the avr and have a bit more flexibility for other than 2ch use.

Just how, tho? Without external amps how would you implement such?

Why do u answer every question with a question?

I never said no one uses them. Just that the numbers have and continue to dwindle.

So, how many companies manufacture and sell them still?

You mean that you don't end every sentence with a '?' ? :D
Ok I sat back and really thought about why I would still choose to use a graphic equalizer. 1. Instant adjustment for the style of music I am using. Using a receiver menu takes a while. 2. The look of it, spectrum analyzer. Watching the lights bounce is part of it. Visual and audible experience. 3. I really like the way they sound. So until they re-integrate the physical sliders onto an avr I will continue. Instant dial gratification.

I’d say pretty much pro gear Rane ,DBX , ART , and other’s all of these I’ve mentioned use constant Q technology very few have rca inputs and outputs. Which cuts out the home audiophile market for easy use . I haven’t seen any from avr type manufactures in years .

Few still do. Schiit, Macintosh, Rockville, Possibly Audiosource. Have you used one and actually done before and after testing?

At what point do we initiate a “Missing Poster” report for the poor soul who started this thread in the first place? Wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen around here if everbody shut their f#%kin’ traps and joined in the search.;)

Well, he’s not flinging s#%t over at the “Should Home Theater Embrace Gaming…” thread like everybody else.:D Somebody try an Apple thread. Nobody goes into those things anymore and it would be a great place to hide.;)

I dunno if looking for the missing OP in the Steamy Vent is that productive, but it can be fun and give a sense of making progress as long as you don't fall into the Steamy Rabbit Hole. Could be fun looking for the "Couragous Searcher for the Missing Poster that is Missing".

You're already sidetracked from your mission! What's a Furry?

Edit: Oooooh, this is not the Steamy Vent! Please don't answer that.

I stopped feeding that troll when he declined to offer a more detailed explanation. He had a few buzz words such as blind listening test but he failed to mention models and configurations. The day a graphic equalizer out performs a PEQ such as on the Yamahas is the day earth's molten core soldifies.
