You need one more choice....

4. I believe other intelligent life exists, but not that they have visited earth.

Intelligent life certainly doesn't live here, either!

NOTE TO ALIENS: Take me with you.

The last estimate I heard was that there are 200 billion stars in our galaxy and there are 200 billion galaxies. Thats an awful lot of real estate for humanity to be the only intelligent life in the universe.

If they really ARE intelligent, why would they bother with us?

Offhand, I can think of four possible reasons:

1) To help us.

2) To conquer us and make us their slaves.

3) To conquer us and plunder our natural resources and, continuing along that train of thought...

4) To eat us.

That's three to one against...

Why would they bother with us? We can't possibly have anything they want or need. It would be easier to mine comets or even our Oort cloud for resources. Travelling light years for food, uh huh, really!
I think we've been declared a no interference zone. They treat us like zoo specimens. They might be making sure we don't spread our hatreds, bigotry and general stupidity around the galaxy.

What do you think? Do they or don't they exist? http://msnbc.msn.com/id/13481655/

Which UFO 'experts' are baffled by those pictures? The believers, or the skeptical ones?
Those could be anything. Insufficient info provided. Looks a lot like the string of lights a number of years ago in AZ I believe that turned out to be a gag by some ultra light club.

Aliens would avoid us if they were truly intelligent...

I just had to chime in....

I don't doubt there is alien life outside of our planet but can anyone explain why aliens who could travel entire solar system would even bother with "caution lights" ? Are they afraid we'll run into them?

Or maybe they heard about all those crazy L.A. drivers and assume they also pilot aircrafts.... ;)

Think about it... :)

Gag or no gag...experts or no experts...it's not so complicated, mtry. I was looking for your general opinion as to whether the earth has ever been visited.

That has nothing to do with it....

The huge vastness of space does. Our solar system is a mere speck of dust. Finding "OUR" piece of dust would be about as likely as stumbling on a specific grain of sand on mount everest.

Oh, I dunno.

On any given Friday night, the combined subwoofer output of this forum alone is probably enough for them to say, "Hey, What was that?"

Yeah, I know, I know - In space no one can hear you scream (or "woof").

Oh.

No evidence for that either:D If they were here in the distant past their presence was cleaned up or just not yet discovered.
But, a picture was posted, supposedly alien spaceships and that also needed a response.

That's what was missing. No wonder I didn't check a box:D

The age of the universe surely supports other intelligent life someplace in that vastness. And certainly fare more advanced ones at that.
