TV on top of 340SE Center

Long time no see!

I come back bearing a question. I currently have my 37" tv sitting on top of my Ascend Acoustics 340SE center speaker. It doesn't weigh much so I was never concerned with placing it there. Today, however, I picked up my new 60" 4k and it weighs approximately 56lbs assembled. Is that too much weight for this speaker? Ultimately I plan on either a) wall mounting the tv or b) buying an entertainment center with a built in mount. For the time being, however, is 56lbs a weight you would feel comfortable setting on top of your AA speaker for a few days?

It should be fine. I had a tv on my energy center speaker for a time. Just get something like a giant mousepad/foam mat on top of the speaker to protect it from scratches

“Too much weight” means it would collapse the speaker’s cabinet. Anything less that that is fine.

You could also call Ascend and ask. Let us know what they say .

I actually had emailed Ascend before posting this but I haven't heard back yet.. So far everything seems good!
