The B&K is a 200w X 2 amp. It is basically a stero amp, not intended for HT. However, it is a good piece of equipment to have.
Don't know about the other unit.
I would recommend you purchase a HT receiver with the features and connections you need. I would also recommend you be sure the receiver has pre-outs for each channel. This way, you can use the B&K amp to power your main l/r speakers. This will take a load off of your receiver during 5.1/7.1 playback, and will also make your system perform very well in 2-channel uses.
There are tons of receivers to choose from. If you can list your needs, room size, speakers that will be used, and budget, you will get plenty of recommendations.
