Trump GUILTY of Fraud

Meanwhile, in the Florida documents case judge Cannon is delaying again.

>>>Judge Aileen Cannon suspended a key deadline in former President Trump’s documents case after his attorneys suggested that special counsel Jack Smith’s team had “failed to preserve critical evidence” in the case after prosecutors disclosed some classified records may not be in the original order in which they were found.

The suspension marks yet another delay in a prosecution where Cannon has yet to even set a new trial date, casting further doubt on the chances the case will come before a jury ahead of the election.<<<(emphasis added)

Trump's lawyers will undoubtedly argue that Trump can't even be tried because the original order of the documents was crucial.
Well, guess that means I get to make fun of Trump for another four years.

There is likely to be more delay in the Georgia criminal case.

>>>ATLANTA (AP) — A Georgia appeals court on Wednesday agreed to review a lower court ruling allowing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to continue to prosecute the election interference case she brought against former President Donald Trump. . . . The appeals court’s decision to consider the case seems likely to cause a delay in a (sic) case and further reduce the possibility that it will get to trial before the November general election, when Trump is expected to be the Republican nominee for president.<<<(emphasis added)

The DA handed Trump a huge gift.

Very layman terms.....

Stormy- shouldn't have been tried to begin with IMO. Smells political.

Georgia- difficult to prosecute if Trump was asking/inquiring for 11K votes if there was no threat.

Documents- best case but appears Cannon might be delaying. Difficult to justify after trying to hide and/or destroy evidence. For those that disagree really boils down to "they all do it."

J6- most damning of the trials. Jack Smith's angle that Trump's cabinet told him there was no evidence, and the outcome due to him pushing the election fraud. I can't really call this one political since there's a cause-and-effect and responsibility for one's actions. I dunno how that works thought without evidence of intent.

Be interesting to know the legal guidelines Cannon is following compared to if the case could be tried in time due to backups in scheduling.

No matter how you slice it, the DA demonstrated a shocking lack of judgement in this case.

>>>A Georgia Court of Appeals on Thursday disqualified Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting the case against President-elect Donald Trump and his alleged co-conspirators over charges of 2020 election subversion.

The long-awaited decision, in a state criminal case against Trump that was already on hold, raises questions about whether the case can move forward in court. The appeals court found that Willis’ office can’t prosecute the case, so a new special prosecutor would need to be appointed for the case to continue. . . . Trump and some of his co-defendants have been trying to get Willis disqualified from the case because of a romantic relationship she had with Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor she hired to help handle the case. <<<

Someone "encouraged" DA to try anything to delay this case. I'm not saying DA is corrupt, but there is smoke here. Or at the very least backchanneled political pressure.

Not sure I follow. Are saying Willis (a democrat) initiated a romantic relationship with the special prosecutor after he was hired in hopes that the relationship would become public and cause a delay in the case against Trump? (or hired Wade after becoming involved with him romantically in hopes that their ongoing romantic relationship would come to light and result in a delay)

Definitely a stretch. In any case it’s done and I doubt any prosecutor takes the case in this political climate.

Agree, just sweep under the political rug, poof its gone.
Doesn’t put Trump in some special class other than politician. Congress just tried to put a law into the budget that would make them immune from subpoenas.

As conspiracy theories goes, that one is unusual.

I believe it's time to invoke Hanlon's razor:

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

Some of the other quotes from wiki are moderately humorous:

"Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice."

"Never attribute to malice or stupidity that which can be explained by moderately rational individuals following incentives in a complex system."
