Just a reminder: in just about a week Triad will be raising its prices across the board.

Another Triad Price Increase is coming on August 2, 2021. It's approximately an 8% increase for most speakers. So, if you are thinking about buying Triads, do it before August 2nd.

Triad Lead Times

Just wanted to give you folks a heads up on current Triad lead times. The factory is now running 3-5 weeks including shipping time in the continental US. So if you want your Triad speakers delivered by the Holidays, now is the time to order.

Question for the DIYers and Installers...

I am moving and want to take my Triad InCeiling Bronze LCRs and Gold8/Omni SEs (circa 2010) with me. I still miss my Silver LCR InWalls I sold with my last house; and I have no budget for new toys with this move if I also want to stay married.

I've got two options...
1) Unless the buyer is an audiophile who can appreciate and wants to negotiate 10 year old speakers, which I doubt, my plan is to replace them with something generic.
2) I paid a lot of money to have them installed and everything is wired in the ceiling... I hate to patch the holes but if I have to pay a painter a couple of hundred bucks to patch it so I can keep my speakers I just may.

So my questions for option #1 are:
Is there a cheap speaker that will fit in the space? I have been unable to find anything.
How can I retrofit a cheaper round in-ceiling speaker in there? Is there a specific bracket that works?
If I put a cheaper speaker in there but they don't fit in the holes, are there cheap grill kits that I can fit over the holes? Or do I (and can I) keep the Triad grills in there with a round speaker McGuyvered in the ceiling and live without the grills or buy new ones for the new place?

Thank you for your input!

The Triad grills are pretty expensive to replace (more than $100 each) and require the grill assembly to stay in place, so that's not a great option. Probably the most cost effective approach is to have the drywall repaired.

Thank you. My painter can patch them for $30 a whole, so $150 to keep $5K worth of speakers kind of settles that. The new guy can just install smaller round ones in a different spot parallel to the joists if he wants (if not in the same place as the patch), the wires will still be up there. I overthunk it.

Hello,

Triad dealer myself. Wondering if you have been able to test and/or compare the in-room Gold subs with something like a JL Audio, SVS, HSU, etc.? I need to cover a system and the initially proposed Revel B112 v2 will not be available for too long! As a Control4 dealer i also have access to the Episodes Mega D12, but can't afford to just buy a bunch and test, which would be too much fun, but not possible right now.

The InRoom Gold Triad sub is awesome. The Revel is only a 12" sub, while the Triad Gold is a 15".

Please keep in mind that, unlike the Revel, the InRoom Gold comes with an outboard amplifier.

Thanks, im aware the Gold has a separate amp, have you compared them at all? Is the Gold's look in painted black good enough for a living room, alongside Revel PerformasB's in Silver!, Salamander Designs, Sony OLED 85", etc.?

i'm looking for feedback in terms of performance, mostly. The look is secondary, but can not find a single review or any feedback whatsoever.

I have not compared the the Triad Gold Subs to Revel. But you won't be disappointed in their performance. Like any sub, if you put them within 2 feet of a corner -- even better.

You can have Triad paint the sub whatever color you like. The finish will be eggshell.

How about (2) Silver subs with (1) 700 amp or 2 Silvers w/300amps each? Better than 1 Gold? Sorry for all the questions, no one answers at TRIAD, i would consult there if possible!

about 10" all cement! Hard floors. But the system has some very good distance from closest side wall, about 10", it is pretty open and nice.
