Anyone have a suggestion for a good transmission line speaker build. I want something that sounds really good, I mean REALLY good.
If you give me a budget and size which I will work something up for you.Anyone have a suggestion for a good transmission line speaker build. I want something that sounds really good, I mean REALLY good.
Yes I do. Click on my signature. I think you could certainly build some TL speakers for just under $500 driver and crossover cost, that would be very respectable. That is assuming you can build a proper enclosure, and can build the crossovers. Cabinet supplies might put you slightly over budget, but by very little. Is it unrealistic to think I could build some great speakers for less than $500?
I really liked the Song Towers at the GTG. They had the ribbon tweeter upgrade but I'm guessin the dome tweeter sounds damn good too.
Does anyone have a kit that would sound similar or at least get me in the neighborhood?
TSL, do you design DIY's or something?
He could always just build a bunch of those loki TL speakers. They mount nicely on the wall and most likely would blow away whatever he's got. I do one day want to try those in a 7.1 theater setup.Yes I do. Click on my signature. Aren't the HT-1's more expensive than the Song Towers? Those pictures of the HT-1TL's are from Sunday. That's when the ModWright gear got brought into the theater, too.
Oh, and the phone number is (248) 342-7109
Do you need his cell phone, too?![]()
I think those HT1-TL's are a new design for Salk. Just send him an e-mail and ask. Make sure you mention you were at the Oregon meet and maybe you can get a deal.Aren't the HT-1's more expensive than the Song Towers?
I didn't see them on the Salk website.
