I think the whole "Best" Requirement is a bit vague. Best CGI? Soundtrack? Cinematography? Story? Acting? You guys are setting yourselves up for arguments, which isn't surprising.

Best as a movie that has all the pieces well executed, most enjoyable to watch, enveloping story, good acting, quality audio/visual.


...and I'm pretty sure Saving Private Ryan came out in the late 90's.

Seriously - No Country for Old Morons? That movie was quite disappointing for all the BS hype. Great acting, dumb movie. It had no business winning that Oscar compared to There Will Be Blood.

Only 5 is hard. I'm definitely going to count the LOTR trilogy as 1. The order is vague and approximate only, and on any other day 1 or more of the "Honorable mentions" could probably make the top 5.
