Since I rarely go slumming in public theaters.....there are still too many movies not yet released on BD to make such a final ruling. LOL

True, that is why I said my pics were subject to revision. I have a feeling Avatar is going to replace one of mine. The question is-which one? I will know soon enough.

It's strange, maybe I'm alone here, but Helena Bonham Carter was perhaps the most attractive she's ever been as an ape. Maybe it has something to do with her character's status as a high class citizen instead of the grime roles she's used to playing (Sweeney Todd [terrible and disgusting cook), Fight Club [slut], and Harry Potter [childish murdering slut]). In Planet of the Apes (2001) she's a high profile citizen with some class. Oddly she's less "dirty" looking in that movie than anything else I've seen her in.

This one's not bad. Clearly a glamor shot, they must have used MS paint.

To right, I'm sure Alex has a similar condition.
You mean, he's only a high-class citizen when he's on this forum? ;) :)

I just meant that I thought she was cute in that movie, but I haven't really seen her in anything else where I thought she was.

LOL, that makes sense. I'm still very entertained by the roles that she plays. She's pretty good overall.

Folks, I would have to put Hangover as an honorable mention. I found it to be rather funny. Just thought I would mention it. ;);)

I did not dig the ape chick. It's just that I have nothing else to do with my hands while I watch movies now that I don't smoke.
It doesn't mean anything ... I guess we're not mentioning any straight porn titles in this thread. :(

As mentioned in my op, my pics were subject to revision. Well, after seeing Avatar last nite I have no choice but to do just that. As such, here are my revised* Top (3) Pics for 2009:

1. Avatar
2. District 9
3. Terminator:Salvation

I must say that Star Trek was very close to making the 3rd spot on my list. However, all in all I thought Terminator:Salvation slightly edged it out due to a better story-line imho. As you can see from my pics, that I am a true Sci-Fi junkie so to speak!:eek::eek: Feel free to add yours pics. Inquiring minds want to know. :):p:)

Phil

Mine would be(of what I've seen)

Avatar
District 9
Planet 51

I thought Avatar was a great movie, District 9 was well done, and Planet 51 was very fun.

You got the final #'s for Avatar? Just curious as to how it finished given such a late start. Not sure where you get your info, but would you mind to provide a link? Have a good 2010! :);):)
