There are probably hundreds of manufacturers that fit into your list - most of whom you wouldn't even recognize their name.

Top 10 Current Speaker Manufacturers in the World!!!
there are so many speaker companies that make "in the world" moot. Just because a site doesn't put measurements on a "web Site" does not mean their not "good speakers or great speakers most have measurements but you need to request them or look for a third party lab audit like Canada's National Research Council has performed many measurements. Top well what is the top dollar, $2000, 5000, 10,000,15,000, $30,000. 50,000 $100,000 or above  And impeccable craftsmanship to whom, it's in the eye of the beholder, just like automobiles. Some thought the Edzell, the Beetle, was impeccable and whom can argue about the Bentley's, Rolls, etc..

Here is a few;

Philharmonic
Salk
LinkWitz Lab ( Orion)

man the list goes on, Oh hell

Salk is a garage company and Linkwitz is more DIY. This list should be for much more serious commercial companies. I've most definitely used data from Soundstage and their NRC measurement, Stereophile, Hometheater, and my own personal measurements. 90 percent of speakers on that big list measure terrible and sound atrocious. Literally painful to listen to :(

That is why people have opinions, people can agree to disagree..

When something measures bad, it's no longer an opinion. It's a fact :)

garage and diy, hmm...

i guess the kind of building the speaker was made in has something to do with it, in your opinion? not the craftsmanship. anyways there are plenty of measurements for the speakers listed, it's not hard to find them - they are on salk's site for instance. the further and further i get in to this "hobby" the more i'm starting to filter out the "audiophile" b.s.

The Salks measure and perform great! John Murphy can definitely make a wonderful speaker and crossover. It's just that Salk is an extremely small operation and I was more interested in the ultimate list of well established companies.

Some of the best digital hi-definition speakers you can buy are Kirsch, Paradyme, Wahldorf, and Afinity.

The measurements for the Sony look good, except I wish that it would do better off-axis.

That doesn't matter. Sony is one of the most well established companies; much more than garage companies like Salk.

It does matter, as performance is the most important criteria point. Plus, those Sony speakers are not available for purchase, at least not in United States. Therefore, Sony cannot go on the list.

If performance is the most important criteria list, how the hell did you end up with YOUR list?

Clearly performance is NOT the most important criteria. It's an abritrary list that you made up and then justified by arbritrary criteria. I probably spelt abritrary wrong because it's underlining it. C'est la vie. I think the word is arbitrary. Not underlined. Guess so.

Sony is on the list. You can't magically unchange my post.

Where are the Goldmund speakers reviews with the +/-2dB FR & smooth off-axis?

Just curious - why is this one of your criteria? Innovative and cutting edge doesn't necessarily equate to better.
