Today mark's anniversary of the passing of my beloved wife

A year ago between 4:45 and 4:50pm, my wife passed away from neck cancer. Its been a very difficult journey for my family members and I and the pain of loss is still very much accute in all of us. The only solace I can find in today is that she doesnt have to to go through this anymore and I do take some comfort in this.

My sincere condolences. I lost my dad to cancer in 2007, we lost my wife's mother to cancer this summer and my wife just lost a long time friend (since grade school) on Wednesday. Seems that as health science progresses and more diseases and conditions become treatable, we are left with this nasty disease that takes so many lives. It's so tough seeing a loved one slowly wither away. We can only hope that they can make the passing as pain free as possible and continue to support cancer research.

Im sorry for you and your wife's losses. Its the most heart wrenching soul stealing thing a person has to go through and its effects are compounded even further by COVID. It really delays the healing process. My heart goes out to you and your wife.

very sorry for everyone’s losses, I lost Multiple family to cancer …
Sad part is all the worlds greatest minds were used for nuclear bombs and similar weapons , cancer could had been cured maybe even aging … but it seems we’re all doomed like the dinosaurs .
All people chase is money and weapons , while we all suffer oblivion from mortality … endless wars , when we’re gone the earth won’t last 50 years … too much pollution.
I suffer from thanato phobia so I constantly have nightmares over death ..
Seems life is too short and everything is a failed species nothing lasts long ..
We’re like a cow living in the African lion territories… sitting ducks waiting for impending doom ..
Diseases and aging is the lions ..

Time is the best healer. You will feel better in a year from now. Don't worry, I am sure your wife is happy in Heaven. Keep a positive attitude.

I try and avoid thinking of the future or the topic of afterlife, god . It’s hard for me to believe in heaven , I used to now I’m skeptical it’s not made up garbage … to brainwash the masses .
Could be true , but no way I can imagine non existent or even comprehend it .
Do stuff to relax , I watch sports or tv. Eventually I’ll find a job just not sure what I can do .. the more free time you have worse this fear is .. don’t let mind wander .

I am very sorry for your loss. The same happened to me on April 1 of this year although my wife did not have any illnesses, she just decided not to wake up one morning. I miss her dearly. Both our wives are in a better place.

I would push the “like “ option but truth is I don’t.
There’s not much to like about losing your soulmate. March 20th of this year I flew down to Orange County to visit my daughter and grandson. The 22nd (Monday) we had lunch overlooking the Laguna sandscape and I called my wife saying that “I couldn’t wait to see her tomorrow (Tuesday). Tuesday came way too soon as it turned out. I flew back to the Sacramento airport got off the plane and drove home. What I found was a horror I could never have prepared for. The woman I loved and still love more than I can ever express was dead on the floor. Brother, those who haven’t gone through this will hopefully never have to know the devastating sorrow as if the universe had just dumped all the sadnesses and tears of all the ages upon me. Seven months later I still break down every day with no signs of it letting up.
I drive LYFT lux all night Friday and Saturday nights because it forces me to focus so that I don’t totally lose my mind and I have gotten a lot of love back from my customers. I take some comfort in the fact that I met a woman who died on the operating table and came back. She told me that she had hovered over her body on the operating table and began to float towards a room where she saw friends and loved ones that had passed and insisted that these images were all crystal clear. Next thing she knew she was waking up on the operating table. I know we will see them again my friend and without getting any more lengthy I will exit this post and try to live by my own advice:keep hanging in there and know that you will be in my thoughts.

Bigger question is if mankind Been around for possible millions of years how has no one ever found a cure for mortality??? Modern advanced technology is a Joke , like chemo let’s jump in a big pot of radiation [emoji3518]…

The government clearly have failed everywhere, weapons made for killing rather the healing [emoji3590]‍…

Hard to see any meaning to existence.
