My ear pain has been severe in left ear, and I do not listen to anything loud regularly maybe once a week or so .
Just a fan irritates it so every morning in pain , been to multiple doctors all were useless . Some suggest ear drops ️ but they didn’t do anything.

What do you use ?to remedy the pain ?

Go to an Ear, Nose and Throat Dr and don't look for home remedies- this can be serious and ear pain could be caused by an infection.

Ear, nose, and throat doctors don't offer much help with tinnitis. I went to one and had no luck at all.

There's not a lot to be done for tinnitus unfortunately. Some antidepressants may help. Ear pain , though, is an entirely different story. They should be able to do something for that.

You can't really do much until and unless you get a correct diagnosis. Get a second opinion or a third, if necessary.

I also noticed my bedroom fan hurts my ears any makeshift earplugs you can use for cheap? Cotton balls or something?

Yeah I called my main doctor since ent was useless and a joke .
I need better insurance for that caresource only covered one ent doctor in my area .
Tinnitus was diagnosed but I was offered no help to solution.

It is possible I have a sinus infection which would make the ear pain worse from tinnitus.

I tried ear drops , olive oil , coconut oil . Ear plugs for audiophiles which my dog ate it got lost . $55 spent for nothing on those

Didn’t help I just ran out of money but I can still apply for desk jobs while I’m sitting around.
So if quarantine ends maybe I could get closer to finding a job .

The left ear possibly had damage from a loud Cinemark film , the zombie one 2 years ago or less that was really popular . That ear hurts the worse

Has your ear been checked for infection??? If you have any antibiotics, you might try them for a week. I have never found anything that really helps with tinnitis.

So does your tinnitus come with severe pain?

Mine doesn't. I don't know anyone who also suffers pain caused by tinnitus. I'm no Dr so I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I have my doubts. Mine is annoying but if it actually hurt I would be alarmed and putting some serious effort into finding out the cause and stop telling everyone it's just tinnitus.

No pain with my tinnitis. Sometimes it's worse than others. I would think that pain is mostly linked to infection. If I had ear pain, I would most definitely see a doctor.

My best bet is probably to go to the doctor , I’ve been to audiologists which said I had tinnitus but no hearing loss .

The pain can be caused for no real reason I can wake up , and be in bad pain .
Supposedly chewing tour teeth or something can cause this ear pain , but I’ve tried wearing my retainers at night and found no relief so that theory is dead .

I mean 4 doctors well 5 have looked at it just this year alone .. no solution no real clues to why I’m In So much pain .
Thanks for the advice and perhaps it’s a lot more then “ Just tinnitus “!!!!

I have tinnitus as well. I also went to a ent specialist, was told to live with it. Yeah, right, not much pro help there. On my own, I have totally changed my diet, and routine. I have SIGNIFICANTLY lowered my symtoms! For what's it's worth to you, I have been eating clean food,eg; almost all organic if you can afford it, or believe in organics, I now do not drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes, for both going on 30+yrs. I found that excercise, along with good suppliments, ( do your research on those first.) Went a long way for my self healing. I currently take ginco biloba, which helps with opening up the micro blood vessels in your body. Have your blood pressure checked as well. I found that discarding all extra sugar & salt has GREATLY reduced my symptoms, and intensity of noise. Also, the use of L-arginine to open up your blood vessels, to get the nutrients to the problem areas. It may take a while for it to take effect, but don't give up on it. Everybody is different, this may not work for you, but, what I described works for me. Very well in fact that I now " forget" that I have tinnitus. Yes I know everybody has their own views, and opinions, but don't give up, or give into it. I believe that YOU are the best expert on yourself. No doctor knows you better than you. Remember, doctors rely on what YOU tell them about your symptoms in order to make recommendations for treatment. Also, try acupuncture, if you are able to. Remember, 99% of the cure is in all of us. Keep researching, and live a much cleaner (dietwise) lifestyle. It WILL make a difference. I can now enjoy my music far more clearer than before. Good luck, and keep at it, keep track of the changes that work, or not. You will notice a difference. Please stay on top of that pain. That, is not normal. Thanks for reading my 2 cents worth. Stay safe.

Aspirin and some other pain meds (Naproxin Sodium, is one) can significantly increase Tinnitus. High blood pressure affects it, too.

I recently purchased new speakers and as fate would have it I started getting ringing in my ears for more than week now. I never play them louder than 70dB for more than 10secs. Just bad timing that's all but atleast I'm now motivated to exercise and eat healthy to get on top of this Tinnitus. Started taking Ginko Biloba from yesterday and rubbing topical Magnesium oil around my ears.

I went crazy over the last weekend as I thought the ringing/hum was from my speakers due to some interference or ground loop so I turned off the mains, removed all fire alarms and removed batteries from all battery devices and was still able to hear it. Then i drove out to a quiet open area, rolled up the windows and could still hear it. Then I confirmed it is infact a case of Tinnitus. It is very annoying especially during the nights and early mornings.

I have hearing test and ENT appointment next friday. I really hope this goes away.
