It’s funny, $11K seems like a bundle but you start parsing it out and it dwindles quickly. For starters, I don’t know what your viewing tolerance is, but a 118” screen seems a little big. Something in the 100”-106” dia. range seems more appropriate. As others have mentioned, bumping up the speakers will definitely add to the HT experience. I think an Ascend Acoustics 340/170 combo offers excellent performance/value. A Polk RTi8/CS2/Fx3 combo can be had for a decent price also offering excellent performance/value. It is amazing how much a good sub impacts the experience (pun intended) which is another area you don’t want to skimp on. I’d bump the sub up to an HSU VTF-3 MK3.
