You are definitely an audioholic!

And CRAZY.:D

If your BP7002s are already causing this much vibration to your glass cabinet, what would happen if you added 2 SVS subwoofers?

I would be afraid. Very AFRAID.

This coming from the guy who's surrounds are bigger than my mains!!!!

I did a party in the country once, done in a fairly large basement. We had a 60kW generator plus house power on 20A breakers. The house owner was okay with the party because there was side access so no one went through the house and the upstairs door would be locked. I brought 8 sealed 18" subwoofers and four 15" bass scoops, plus about 20kW worth of amplifier power between the tops, mids, horns and scoops. Only problem is, the bass destroyed every single dish, glass, piece of pottery, picture on the wall, most of the mirrors and did structural damage to the drywall upstairs. It shook the refrigerator and freezer doors open, all the milk and food and everything shook out causing a mess. The pantry was literally destroyed with everything on the floor.

Luckly we weren't charged for the damage, we weren't even allowed to see the upstairs before we got there so we had no way of knowing, especially not being used to setting up in basements. The guy who rented the house or whatever I think paid the homeowner.

I think my friend took some pictures of it, I'll see if he stills has them. I didn't have the balls to take a picture because the home owner was there, haha.

... and when I think about that, I suddenly feel my system's in adequate.!!!:D
What you have is great enough.

This includes your Pioneer Elite receiver.

And your glass cabinet is telling you that already.:D

I believe this is a misconception. High volumes of any of the audible frequencies will damage your hearing, its just that this damage will first manifest itself in the upper register, whether or not if the damaging frequencies were low or high.
You're pretty much right. Any frequency played loud and long enough has the potential for damage. The hair cells that respond to the high frequencies are the most sensitive, and therefore most prone to damage. Since music generally has a significant high frequency content, those cells are the first injured when one is subjected to loud music. If one listened to a pure bass tone at injurious levels, the corresponding cells would die and produce an effect analogous to high frequency hearing loss.

Side note: The ringing you hear is at the frequency of the dying cells, so enjoy it, as it may be the last time you hear that frequency :).

Well, then you are truly one of us!

Must...buy...more...gear... :D
Yeah, no kidding.

If I had a 7 component rack, I would feel compelled to buy another Denon component just to FILL it.
