In my last factory system with a sub, an '05 ML350 with Bose stuff, the sub was okay, and was under the driver's seat.....I had an ML320 before that (a '98) with similar setup and was pretty good in that one, too. Messing with the built in stuff just didn't seem worth it even though sure, it could be improved upon. Nice that many modern cars come with pretty capable systems, but they tend to be overpriced IMO otoh.
