So I am now on my second panasonic plasma 37' on the first one it lost the ability to accept a 480i signal. Now on my second one when snow is displayed on the screen it looks normal expcept for the right side ( about 6 in from right and 6 in wide) where it is just grey. When a component source is displayed it is just black. Any ideas on what is wrong. My trinitron never had any problems!

Sweet - sounds like a bad row of pixels! Time for a new plasma.

As long as it is all under warranty, which I expect it is, then you need another new one. This is not a good sign of reliability for Panasonic.

On the other hand, usually once things work for 90 days, they tend to keep working for another 10 years unless hit by lightning. Just getting past the 1st 90 days can be a real killer.

After letting it sit overnight it now works. I have a hunch that the scaler boards are not the most forgivingg units. I bought the extended warranty from tweeter just in case as I feel this may happen again.
