That's exactly how I boxed up Rick's before I sent it to him.....

It goes to your credibility. It is clear you have an agenda, and are deceitful about revealing your own culpability. I have no reason to believe your statements or pictures about the box.
I've had the same UPS guy for a decade. The day we met he dropped my eBay Monster power supply right in front of me. I could tell he didn't give a sh!t so I didn't bother giving him any. You can't teach a pig to dance. It pisses off the pig and it wastes your time. Florida taught me that too. As much as I like breaking this guys balls, I believe the pic's. But the rest of your assessment? Well ... if you can't say anything nice, you might be a Mark. :D

The driver on my route was great, but he must have been moved to a different one. I got a "Sorry We Missed You" tag for something I really needed, so I called their 800 number to see if I could track him down and when I got to his stop, he explained that if the box shows what's in it, they aren't supposed to deliver it. OK, great to know. He told me that if I really need something, I can leave a note or of I prefer, he can just leave everything behind my house where it won't be visible from the street. He had already been bagging my packages when it was raining and I thought his idea was great. To make it better, he offered to leave a blank tag if he was here before noon and that would tell me he would be at the industrial park North of my area and if I get there before 1PM, he can hand me the items. I don't remember getting more than two things with damage and they were both packed badly, oddly weighted and should have been on a piece of plywood (a 120VAC 1/3HP motor and a Variac). Both had damage to their base.

I don't doubt the pics either. What I doubt is that the OP sent his XPA out double boxed with the protective bag, and Emotiva proceeded to dump that stuff and substitute the chintziest packing materials in their inventory.

How was the amp boxed/shipped to EMO? Was it boxed like the original (double boxed)?

Was it single-boxed with broken foams and sent to EMO?

Come on people, don't dance on someone's misery. It must be a really crappy day/week/month in anyone's book when this happens. It doesn't matter how someone reacts or overreacts, we all do it differently. I would probably put an ad in local newspapers for assembling a voluntary firing squad and then order something using the same delivery service:cool:.

When its your skin it's hard to do statistics and say; well at least my fellow citizens didn't get their equipment ruined so I am one in a hundred and therefore shouldn't complain.

We, humans, tend to take ourselves very personally for some reason.:)

P.S.: to make things a bit cheerful, read what it says here, I've been laughing at this for days now:

What you probably do not realize is, he hooked up the amp incorrectly, likely damaging his equipment. Then, he was very rude to the company. Then, he bashed them on the Internet. Then, after he was promptly and nicely taken care of by Emotiva, bashed them again for allegedly packing his amp poorly. Search the original poster's threads. It is all telling.

Wait. I missed that. How did he incorrectly hook up his amp?
Review the thread, there is a link to the original thread. He hooked up the outputs of 2 channels to his speakers, as if to bi-wire, but didn't remove the jumpers on the speaker terminals. D'oh!
