These speakers are far less then some other speakers out there, but IMO these sound as good as any speaker i've ever heard, period. Still, at $15,000 a pair, they are still out of reach of what most users can afford.

No offense if you want to continue this two year old thread raised from the dead by it's original poster for whatever reason. But it appears that Potzi realized a couple days ago that his user name is still active and just wanted to stroke his vanity. Seriously, no posts in 2007 or most of 2006.

You could easily ban his *** for what he did in 2006. I'm surprised he wasn't.

The one, and the only question that will never have the same answer, or will it? I belive myself not only being canadian and having a passion for picture perfect sound, I'm going to have the place my bet on the Paradigm S8's from their Signature Series. Even though I haven't even heard a pair I'll have to say the Studio 100's, nah, the studio series is something to brag about, and as with all paradigm the more you spend the better it gets, and from the reviews I've seen thats what I have to say. please reply with what you find are THE BEST speakers, money no object.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, I am trying to create a reference here to make a point, when diciding your true ulimate favorite, please consider that I'm comparing through the same equipment. (Oracle c.d. player, Bryston Amplifiers and pre-amp, all outfitted with some rediculously expensive straightwire cables.)

There's a saying, "another man's meat is another man's poison" or "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

Since we all hear differently, this reference thing you are asking for is meaningless. It maybe your reference but it will be just that, your reference.
