I bought a new trailer as my g/f and I are moving in together at the campground. We needed a trailer with two toilets as we both had some close calls in the older trailer. The new trailer came with a soundbar from JBL. Its not bad but didn't have a sub or surround capability. It is much smaller than the Monoprice soundbar that I setup in the previous trailer.
The first two shots arepics of the cubby that I had to build up. You can see where the cabling is going over a 5/8" lip. The 2nd pic shows to cubby holes, the top one which I build up, the 2nd was for the orginal JBL soundbar
The first piece I cut acts as a filler to bring me flush with the lip. The 2nd piece I screw on top of that and it extends out 5" past the edge of the lip to support the sound bar as shown in the next pic. The hole closer in was a mistake. I should have subtracted instead of adding the measurements. The sound bar hides the mistake. I screwed the two pieces together and then used a hole saw to drill through both. The bottom board is held down to the cubby by velcro strips whcih are more than strong enough to hold the shelf in place when the sound bar is in place. This is required so that I can remove the shelf in order to bring the slides into the trailer after closing the place down for the winter.
The two visible velcro strips are there to hold the soundbar to the shelf so it doesn't lose its position or get knocked off the edge of the shelf.
The bluray player and cassette deck are located on the left cupboard as shown
You can see the surround speakers behind the theater seats and the sub located beside the right seat.
The 65" TV is on a lift and covers the entire window when up.
