<font color='#000000'>I’ve heard talk of FEC in the AES/EBU standard on the DAT boards but have not poured over the spec to confirm it. If AES/EBU implements FEC (forward error correction) in addition to CRC and then they have very good error detection and correction.
It’s really a moot point anyway as how many of us have receivers that accept the Professional standard? Most of us are running SPDIF.</font>
