What a moving performance. Even the NBC sportscaster Scott Hamilton was very choked up. I was impressed upon how the artistic element, in this case, really came through. I don't think she could impress her emotions, so profoundly, had she been speed skating instead. Just a subjective observation. I mean, it was really hard not to be moved. I watched with friends, and I think that perhaps all of us were kind of expecting her score to beat everyone else's. However, I do not know what types of jumps she implemented, how difficult they were, and how those were scored. If anyone missed it, take my word for it, it was very moving.

Too bad that Bode veered off the course.

Now it's time to call my friend to see if he's recording the US hockey game!

As I said, I'm not really into figure skating, but I watched her performance and yes, it was quite moving.

On a lighter note, what a smackdown laid on the Russian hockey team! I wouldn't even dare to dream of such a result. I know the Canadian team is better than their record would indicate, but I though it would be much closer. Take that Ovechkin, you arrogant SOB!

It was a good day all round. We also raked in 4 more medals. We'll certainly never catch the US or Germany at this point. But, it's good to see!

What a BS way for the U.S. women's relay team to win a medal. That bump by the Korean could have gone either way. I'm not sure I agree with the DQ, but the U.S. women got their butt's kicked. It sucks that they still get a medal.

Also, I can't believe no one's talking about Sven Kramer????? He crushed the competition and gets DQ'd because his trainer told him to take the inside land when he should have stayed outside?!?!? All that training and dedication and performing at the highest level only to have it yanked away on a technicality. The Dutch are all about speed skating. This must be HUGE in the Netherlands.

Again, that's a crappy way to win a gold medal. If I was Lee, I would just hand my medal to Kramer. Kramer beat him by almost 8 seconds!!

I agree Darien I don't think the Korean team should have been dq'd. But what was really embarrassing was the way the US team started skating with a flag at the end. No one should celebrate that kind of win.

On a good not another local guy Bill Demong helped his team get a silver in the Nordic Combined. He and his family are great people and he has been working for this for years. Great to see. I hope he does well in his final event.

Kramer beat him by almost 8 seconds!!

He wouldn't have won by anywhere near that margin had he skated in the proper lane. Thats not a technicality, he skated a shorter course.

It could certainly make the outdoor events more interesting to watch. The skiers can dodge sniper fire as well as the gates in the slalom.

Are any of you guys watching the US-Canada game?! What fantastic action! Of course, you guys had to tie it in the last minute! It could go either way. I may have to get the wife to dial 9-1-, cause I think I'm gonna have a heart attack during overtime! I'm not surprised it's tied after 3 periods. What a great game! I don't know what's going on down there, but Canada is at a standstill, watching this!

I give full credit to the US team. They played a wonderful game and had a great tournament. They went further than I ever would've thought.

Canada has now won the most winter olympic gold medals in one olympics - ever!

Thank you Canada for this beautiful game you brought to the world that so many of us do enjoy. But even as heavy favorites you were not quite a shoe in, YOU are the ones that had to earn your way to a gold medal and you DID IT with great young talent and especially veteran leadership players who won so many Stanley cups. As much as it hurts to lose on one shot credit goes where credit is due.. Canada and Molson beer .. I'd rather play hockey and lose than torturing people with Curling and win a gold medal..lol
