As I said, I'm not really into figure skating, but I watched her performance and yes, it was quite moving. What a moving performance. Even the NBC sportscaster Scott Hamilton was very choked up. I was impressed upon how the artistic element, in this case, really came through. I don't think she could impress her emotions, so profoundly, had she been speed skating instead. Just a subjective observation. I mean, it was really hard not to be moved. I watched with friends, and I think that perhaps all of us were kind of expecting her score to beat everyone else's. However, I do not know what types of jumps she implemented, how difficult they were, and how those were scored. If anyone missed it, take my word for it, it was very moving.
Too bad that Bode veered off the course.
Now it's time to call my friend to see if he's recording the US hockey game!
On a lighter note, what a smackdown laid on the Russian hockey team! I wouldn't even dare to dream of such a result. I know the Canadian team is better than their record would indicate, but I though it would be much closer. Take that Ovechkin, you arrogant SOB!
It was a good day all round. We also raked in 4 more medals. We'll certainly never catch the US or Germany at this point. But, it's good to see!
