My boss was bragging about his custom build HT room. Bragged about his 60" Pioneer plasma. Bragged about HD DVD & blu-ray. Bragged about awesome sound system. So I asked him a question.

Me: So, what kind of speaker system do you have?

Boss: What? Oh, they're awesome little speakers (surprised I didn't ask about his 60" plasma).

Me: No, I mean what is the brand name of your little satellite speakers?

Boss: Oh, I don't know. The custom installer just picked something.

Me: What? Speakers are the most important components in your HT, and you don't even know what speakers they picked for you?

Boss: Shut up.:D

If I hear someone talking, or bragging about their system I don't even get involved with the conversation.

I'm just hoping that someone I know has a $40,000 pr of speakers that I can listen to.:D

Wouldn't it be cool if one of your friends owned a pair of $280,000 Kharma Grand Exquisite? Wouldn't you want to check his system out?

Even if someone has the exact same system I have, I would still want to hear what his sounds like.:D
Maybe he's doing something better I not aware of. Could learn something new.

I have a friend who owns a Krell, Wilson Watt/Puppies rig. He also has Bowers & Wilkins 801's. It's pretty cool to be able to listen to tunes on his systems.

But even if a guy "like us" put together a BIC America, or a Home Theater Direct system I would still want to listen to it.

It's the "Meatball" that is talking about his Bose system, or the guy that was told by the rep at Best Buy that his Klipsch speakers are the best out there. And he only purchased them because of that. Those are the conversations I stay out of. And trying to save the day, and educate these people is useless. Or should I say I have no patience.

Your animation seriously cracks me up!:D

And by the way, what's wrong with Klipsh?:)

Yeah, I would listen to any honest audiophile's system regardless of price.

Obviously he was into his 60" video experience. I wonder what he would say about a 116" video experience:D

You know how they are. Nothing is better than their 60" plasmas. Unless it's a 116" plasma.:D
