It's whatever brand I currently have and are using. Right now it's Onkyo. Good value with the essentials one looks for when on a limited budget

Hands down Marantz is my choice for best AVR. In the past I’ve owned a Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo, Pioneer, and Denon AVRs. In one way or another they were all nice receivers over the years. However none of them provide the warmth and clarity that is a very distinct Marantz sound and so very pleasing to the human ear. I would love to own a new SR6013 and provide my positive experiences on this forum for others to read!

Pioneer - loved them my whole life (I'm 39). I really would like to say Marantz because I really do like their products and that blue glow but I never owned one. My father had a 4300 when I was a kid but I was too young to know better. He traded it for a Pioneer 1980 which rocked the house. I currently own a vintage Pioneer 780 and an Elite SC-99, the latter of which is giving me some trouble. I wanted Atmos early and unfortunately passed on Marantz's model. Anyway, 70s Pioneers rocked THEN but I think Marantz is the way to go NOW with modern receivers.

Considering value for money Denon and Pioneer are the best.

This is difficult... Marantz has always had a special place in my heart... But I believe Yamaha is underrated. Yamaha may be my beginners choice... marantz the true audiophile

Denon.

Reason: Experience with AVR-4311CI. Have it and love the warm sound and the fact that it's made in Japan.

Marantz. Because I love the look, and have bought (and sold, old stereo salesman) them in the past.

Onkyo
My first AV setup was an Integra pre-amp which was amazing but it quickly outdated and the most I could afford was an amp from its parent company, Onkyo. It’s just all I’ve ever known and I am ready for a change. Marantz used to be untouchable for me

Yamaha! The reason I like Yamaha is mostly the reliability factor followed by the value that comes with it.

It fit my needs and budget at the time for building my first home theatre. Now I'd like to add atmos :)
