The Marantz "Cinema Series" "2022-2023" AV Pre-Launch Thread

Sounds good, AV 10, I have owned a dozen Marantz surround processors over the last decade or so. What I want to know is other than more channels, how the architecture and processing is different is it quiter? We know it does more stuff but does it do more stuff better?
On other sites, (cough , ASR) You have people comparing very simple stereo DACs with complex multi channel multi purpose machines like flagship Marantz products and slamming the comlex model becuase it's noisier. Totally Bogus perspective.
Also, Roon Tested? Does anyone actually know if the AV10 will function as a Roon end Point.
When are we getting our hands on a review sample?
I'm ready to buy but not untill this unit has some trusted credentials other than brand history.

Your a God and a Legend Gene.
Thanks for the compliment.
Nice thread resurrection too. I swear it was deleted once.
Thanks for bringing the early details out into to the light...again. Youtube is a great platform, but I won't touch it.
LMN if there's anything else you would like to publish, and I'll see if there's anymore cats around here that need to be unbagged.
Cat unbagging one of my favorite hobbies

You do have a good reason to use the 7.1 analog inputs so either go with the flag ship model Denon AVR or Marantz if the 30 is a replacement of the SR8015. Are there features you need that are not available on the 8015?
Trinnov Altitude 16/32 do not have surround analogue in, nor XLR for that matter, which sucks because my OPPO UDP 205 has surround analogue out . Good thing 205's HDMI audio only connection is pretty jitter free it works great with my Trinnov and will pass atmos music in a way the nanalogue out will not

Most AVRs and processors downs ample to 48khz either for room correction or bass management. It's a non issue.
You only get 96khz with Trinnov 32, 48 with Trinnov 16

What exactly is this 'patina' he is referring to? Is this some kind of unevenness in the FR?
Also, what is the durability of Marantz AVR compared to Denon and Yamaha?
"Patina" from the Latin root , "To make stuff up as you go"

I am a customer for Cinema30 for sure , I heard somebody was saying the some features on the 30 were borrowed from Trinnov Altitude , or that could be internet talk.;)
Any Marantz resellers lurking I am in for the Cinema30 let me know

I like the 4 sub outputs. BTW, I added a second JL Fathom 113 to my system, and it made a BIG difference. Question: Will these SU receivers support an 80Hz high pass for my LCR speakers (B&W 802-D2’s)? I want it to work like the JL Audio CR-1 active crossover.
Thanks,
Rod

Does anyone know if there is going to be a replacement for the SR8015?; maybe the Cinema 30? - or is it just a rumor amongst hopefuls? If it might be coming, when would be the expected time frame of its arrival?

Yeah. Of course. Try back in one full year. Will probably line up with the known Denon 6 series lifecycle.

With the higher pricing, promises of improvements in audio performance and possibly aiming to compete with premium companies has anyone got reply from Marantz that they are really using the same mediocre TI dac chip in new models like Denons? @PENG mentioned the TI dac being used in some cheap 600$ receiver and now 3500$ Cinema 40 too? We saw the drop in performance with X3800H for higher price which is not good.

Cinema 50 is going to measure worse than X3800H with same TI dac as only the Cinema 40 model have improved HDAM SA2 version like in the 8015. Add the slow dac filtering making a big mess and we possibly get even much worse measurements than SR6014/7015 had with AKM4458 dac. With the price tag of 2500$!

I understand sharing parts with Denon is effective, but if these models suppose to be the more luxury version with better audio performance then it would made sense to use some better spec ESS dac chip 9026 Pro or similar which has potential for better objective peformance if they implement it the right way. Marantz could have marketed the better dac like few company does to boost sales further, "New Cinema serie comes with audiophile level XX dac." Two Denon models already using ESS dacs so they could have easily got some good deal buying boat load of them.
