Still mid 90s today, pretty much staying inside, No golf for over 2 weeks now unfortunately.

Agree its just to darn hot and hunid to get out there.

Saw on the local news that this has been the hottest streak in the Jacksonville area since 2016. Hopefully we will get some relief soon.

Yep has been going on for years and still gettng worst. Caused by people adding Nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus, to their lawns to make them all pretty and green and when they water the stuff goes in the streets then into the drainage systems and finally makes its way to rivers and lakes.

I'd read about it before, didn't realize the scope and extent of it these days. How do the pythons and iguanas do in the muck?

Fug no. I like the cool but not cold winters the perfect springs and falls. Basically 3 out of the 4 seasons are wonderful. Summer sucks and you only go out early or late. Your never outdoors unless necessary in afternoons or early evenings for about 3 months out of the year

From what I've been told by the FWC, the BIG snakes and iguanas just move away from it. Doesn't appear to actually bother them like the cold.

Come to Minnesota. Data shows it is now official, that the Twin Cities are a climate refuge city. Despite the economy house prices in the Twin Cities, and even Northern Minnesota are rising, and have not corrected from the high interest rates. People from the South have been buying houses sight unseen.

People are worried about excess heat, water issues, violent weather and floods.

Sure our winters are on the cold side, but compared to the Boreal winter at our lake place and the cold of ND, the Twin Cities seem balmy. In any event heat is far more deadly than cold, and there is good data on that. Boreal winters are beautiful and I actually miss those winters spent in the Boreal forests of Northern Minnesota on the shores of Lake Benedict.

Yes, heat is especially hard on the elderly. Now the smoke has left, at least for now, we can enjoy summer.

We have had a mild Winter, long, cool Spring and mild temps since May. Sunday was 89 with 34% humidity- that was FANTASTIC! t has been a bit muggy in the past two weeks but it was somewhat cool with a breeze, so it wasn't bad at all. If this weather would be consistent with the seasons in the future, I might consider staying in WI, but Winter has lost its charm and if I want snow, I would rather go to it and since my knee has made any sports or strenuous activity involving leg strength impossible, skiing is out. Lutsen was the best place I have skied. Seriously cold, but it was a great trip.

I have been in AZ during June-August more than any other time of year and it's doable, but only if the correct precautions are used. Three rafting trips in the canyon- 110+ every day, but we had the cold water in the Colorado River to cool us and we stayed in the shade when we weren't on the rafts. Last time I was in PHX, I was there to buy my cargo van and it was hot, but not terrible. Usually breezy working in the shade wasn't bad at 103°F.

With nothing to do, sitting in the heat is about as bad as I can imagine, especially with high humidity.

Sorry, my 'character' broke off during a cold snap a few years ago and here, the riff-raff stay inside until it's warm enough to go out and cause more problems.
