Who's Paul?

Oh, stop bothering me. I just ordered two of these.:D
If you did, those will have plenty of output for that room....

If you didn't order those, he does make a single level unit... the plain terraform.

2 of those will be much smaller and still have tons of output...

I talked to Carolyn and she said I could get them as long as she can come and live with you.

Are you good with that? She is hot but she costs a lot.:D

I think I am about out of money so it's all good...

If I could just figure out the date I am going to die, I would better know how to spend money.

Utttt Ohhhhh...

My next thread may be "best sub for a small theater". All my gear maybe getting kicked out to a spare bedroom. She is sick and grouchy so maybe she doesn't mean it.

I asked once if I could turn it into a HT room and she said no. Now she is saying I need to.

Bet that F113 would have been fine in there. Too bad it's gone.

The room is about 12 x 14 ft. Can you even do a theater in a room that small?

Like Matt said, yes. However, before you happily capitulate, wait till she's out of the house, and then go into that room, sing, yell, bang pots 'n pans, and bring your speakers in there to see how it sounds. The biggest issue, maybe the only issue, is acoustics. OTOH, if you can go full blown dedicated, then you can supersize the screen with a PJ, light control, etc.

Maybe a JL F112 (or two if you even need it), an Epson PJ (or JVC if you can sport the cash), a few HT recliners, etc.

This guy's room is about the same size, and with a total budget of maybe a JL F113, did he do a full dedicated. Now, the equipment is less than desirable, but check out how nice it can look on such a small budget!

edit: I want to say that my own BR's have absolutely horrible acoustics. I would in fact say impossible, I mean, outside of tearing all the walls out and finding as many sources of ringing and slap echo as I could.

I agree with Matt and Josten. At my last place, my gear was in a room around that size and it had issues with bass modes. Trapping the corners and maybe the back wall (depending on how close you are) would definitely help that out though. Otherwise it worked pretty well and acutally imaged a bit better than my current room

Me? ... Yes.
You? ... NFW.

Do the guilt trip thing about how your not even wed yet and already she's driving you off into a tiny little room ... not that you need my advice on working an angle. I got faith in ya. You're in the big room to stay. Like when you want to show off, what are you gonna say? ... Follow me to this little room where all my gear is stashed cause the wife doesn't want it out in the open?

Good ole boy, please. :D

Little theater rooms are awesome. My room is small, I only sit at 12'. It's cozy and pressurizing it is so easy. Still get some beafy subwoofers, especially now since you get your own room. Use the benefit of the extra headroom to flatten the bass out.
