PD, You should throw in the BD version of Kung Fu Panda and give it a watch, The Ultra really shines on that movie. Especially during the "Skidoosh" scene.

I was trying to hold out and see if they would release a "Muay Thai Striking Panda" but I guess I can try the Kung Fu.:D

I watched about 1/3 of "The dark knight" last night. Pretty impressed but then Carolyn had to go to bed as she has a tennis match (play-offs) this morning. She said "go ahead and watch it, it won't bother me". I turned it down to -25 and could barely hear the dialog and then the scene came on where he was testing that auto-gun thing and my plans were changed really quick. She was like "OMG how loud to you have that".

I turned it off and got on the computer.

Funny, I always have to wait until my wife is out of the house shopping before I can really enjoy anything at volume. :D She teaches piano, and one day I was liztening to some jazz (Rippingtons, I think) at -10 from reference, and her student asked her what kind of drum set we had (was running the dual Ultras)? That made my day!

I did discover that I can blow out a candle that is in front of the sub when I play KIWI from Maroon 5 at ref level.

If you ever lsiten to country music at all try the new Jamey Johnson CD. A ton of deep bass, heck his voice is even below my crossover point.

The Dark Knight is my reference movie. Casino Royale is my other one.
The JL Audio sub is nice but it gives up cone area to the Axis. For DIY exodus drivers are the way to go now that TC Sounds decided their drivers should cost so much

You are way behind on reading, I sold the JL 2 weeks ago.:D

If my early predictions, based on the time I have had with the new sub so far, are correct; I am at >90% of the performance of the AXIS at a reduced cost and no hassle of all the associated gear.

Nope. so far 3 landscape trucks, 1 UPS truck and 1 FedEx van.

Why is it when I order something from FedEx or UPS they don't show until 7pm but today they are in the neighbor early?
They are doing FedEX/UPS Overnight Morning Delivery. That stuff is loaded on the truck so that it comes off first. Anything not 'morning delivery' is deeper in the truck and then they come by again...

The UPS guy comes like so late now. Shows up at like 3-4pm, so I almost have to figure another day in shipping time when I order parts for work.

It does seem as if he is enjoying it. It is a great subwoofer.
For sure there not only performers but beautiful to look at it reminds me of opening the hood to your HT and there sits a Supercharged on the bottle with a 50 shot, iron block, forged pistons and rods pin you in your seat motor. Its funny when you have guest over and normaly the first thing they say is Wow  nice subs :D Even when I had my Kuro calibrated thats one of the First thing the Calibrator said was nice subs very impressive and then said SVS makes some great subs and at that point I knew I had a great calibrator and I could relax, sure enough he did a great job :D
