After submitting numerous posts, digesting all of your responses, talking with dealers & auditioning gear, I have finally ordered a new 2-channel system:

Paradigm Signature S8
Bryston 14B SST
Audio Research SP16L
Cambridge Audio 840c.

After the ICs, cables & all the tweaking, I am looking forward to pairing good music with good wine. Thank you for your help. Salud!

You have made some excellent choices that will keep your feet tapping for quite awhile, the SP16 is a great bargain! My dad owned one till he got the upgrade itch and bought the Ref3, ever been to Audiogon.com?

Well, im sure you know just as well as anybody that it seems the only three products known to man on here are Berhringer, Emotiva and Oppo. Rarely do we see the likes of Bryston and totl Cambridge players

Very true but you forgot to mention one thing,anybody who spends more than what a Behringer A500 costs is under a placebo induced spending spree.

I wouldnt think there was any sarcasm in that statement but coming from a person with an entire room full of Mcintosh gear worthy of drooling over many times over I think they indeed may be a hint of it.

I will have them, I would love to hear your thought about them... They are truly works of art in my opinion...

Once I get the Paradigms, CDP & the cables/interconnects (& reinforce the cabinet to hold the bloody 80-lb. Bryston 14BSST), I'll report back w/ pics.

Hey!! Big time congrats to you. Please bring the pics. I maybe be mistaken but you are the one of the few with a Bryston. You'll never need to replcae that amp in your lifetime barring accidents. A twenty year warranty! Worth the price of admission I would say!!
