since ill be leaving for college in a little over a week i haven't bothered to hide any wires or do any cleaning of any kind, besides, i can shut off the lights and i cant even see all the crap laying around

TV: samsung 32" 720p/1080i
receiver: refurb onkyo tx-sr505
dvd: xbox 360
speakers: the speaker company 6.5" bookshelves 5.25" center
sub: DIY kenwood

i know i know, im thinking either truck bed liner or satin black, just got to carry all 100lbs of it up the stairs and out to the shop to paint it. Ill do a cleaner install when i get everything put in the dorm room.

the inside is flared, i was getting some bad turbulence before so i made one out of mdf.

hockey pucks would be nice, but i live in Nebraska, I wouldn't even know where to get hockey pucks from.

no, they are pieces of mdf leftover from the build. i didn't have enough so i used a can of mellow yellow too.

Suggestion to Drisco, switch your subwoofer cable to the yellow "composite" video cable. That cable is sheilded better than the red, and is also guarranteed to be 75 ohm, ideal for subwoofer use.

thanks ill try that. I would have never thought to do that, I'm going to try and separate it from the red and white ones to make it a little easier to use too.

edit: i was wondering if you had any tips to improve the response at my seating area, it seems like wherever i put the sub it sounds best on the opposite side of the room, and the seating is right in the middle of the room, where response seems to be the weakest. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Put the sub in your current seating position, unplug the rest of the speakers put some music on and crawl around on the floor on your hands and knees wherever you end up hearing the best response is where you should put your sub.
