The Vikings traded linebacker Jonathan Grenard to Philadelphia for two 3rd round picks. This is awesome. He is good, but he gets hurt and getting long in the tooth. Philly is paying him 100 mil for 4 years. This clears up the Vikes to start former 1st round draft pick Dallas Turner who played really good last year when Grenard got hurt. Minnesota had 5 picks in the first 3 rounds and four are defensive players including "Big Citrus", DT from Iowa. Vikes got ripped up and down the dial (or the youtubers) for their first pick, Caleb Banks, who was sidelined with a broken foot. The ceiling on him is very, very high, that's why they picked him. If you designed a DT with a computer program it would look like Banks. He is an animal when healthy. So these haircuts know more than Brian Flores apparently.

I know this is from a while ago, but I just stumbled on it
Squishman, do you still think the Vikings got enough value for Grenard? I’ve been wondering if Turner has lived up to the hype since then
Also, any update on Caleb Banks’ recovery?
That broken foot scared me at the time

I think the Vikings got good value for an aging, injury-prone player. Clearing the way for Dallas Turner and adding picks seems like a smart long-term move.

Turner looked good last year filling in for Grenard. He's had some moments. But now it's time to show what he can do on a consistent basis. I'm optimistic. But I always am, being a glass is half full type. As far as value for the trade, yeah what did we get again? A third in '26 and a third and '27? Some of the podcasters I listen to like Thor Nystrom were extremely positive about the compensation we got. Banks practiced this week which was very positive news. He wasn't just on the sideline on a bike or something. A lot of people had comments about that first round draft pick like they know more about defensive players than Flores. I thought that was a complete joke. Here's one of the greatest DC's in the league, everyone sings his praises but then they rip his draft pick. I thought that was just extremely lame that these haircuts know more than Brian Flores does.

I follow player performances closely using a football live score site to track stats like injury updates and snap counts
It helps me see how Dallas Turner might fit into the Vikings' defense while keeping an eye on Banks' recovery
Checking real-time analytics there makes the trade discussions more tangible

The power rankings were a bit odd to me with the Rams at #1. That ended well LOL. Also SF being so low at #17 is weird. I could care less about the Vikings with our qb lineup. I suppose though nobody in our division I really trust.

GB vs MN
Den vs KC

Bears put up 59 on Carolina lol.

Packers are the Browns with uglier uniforms.

Packers- 4 Super Bowl wins, Vikings- 4 Super Bowl appearances.

At least the Packers never had Bernie Kosar. Unfortunately, they had those two drama queens.

How many packer fans does it take to change a lightbulb? Answer: it takes four. One to actually change the light bulb and three to talk about how great the old one was.

And others to talk about how they wish Farve was still there....

Nothing about one holding the bulb while the others rotate the ladder? And they need to be wearing their Packers stuff when they do this.

I know how to spell his name, I just don't care about that- all of his "I'm in, I'm out, I'm in" BS really wore me out. Now, A-Aron is spouting off about a comment from LaFluer- who cares?

Never really was a Vikings fan, but Wentz is probably our guy. He's our best option, and also why it could go wrong lol. However, he does have a complimentary team, and hopefully his veteran experience comes through. We've got quality coaching on both sides of the ball, but it's Wentz so yanno lol.

Allen is chewing it up for Buffalo even w/o much defense. I was hoping for more from Nix vs KC, so that sucked.

I'm rather a Caleb Williams fan just because Chicago has had one poop qb after another. He's not the most talented but has the heart. Plus with their new coach it's fun times.

How do you say "he's our..." this and that after saying you are not a Viking fan? Just curious! All I can say about Williams is that he's one of the toughest to get down when he's on the move.

Vikings first round draft pick this year defensive tackle Caleb Banks is having a hell of a game today making a lot of plays.

I'm not a Vikes fan but am giving em credit. I'm watching for the Bears. Brutal first half lol.

Bears highlight- wow what a great punt that was. Might have been 60 yds in the air. Put the Vikes deep in their own territory. :p
