What I Like and What You Don't Have
First, I really like this site ... visit all the time to get tips on setting up my Denon 3805 which I bought, at least in part, based on your review. I very much like and look forward to detailed product reviews. Maybe I don't need to hear so much about the reference system on which the review was conducted each time (I mean, I feel like I know Reference System 3 like it was my own) but that is essentially a nitpick.
I also love the set-up tips because I'm struggling with my set-up -- and the tips help, a lot.
What you don't have, though, is any follow-up reviews. You know how Consumer Reports or whatever rates automobiles based on reported problems over the life of the car? You need something like that. Like, follow up on the 3805 review a year later, based on posts to the Forums and what's happened in the marketplace -- and tell us whether Denon makes a quality product that stands the test of time. Looking back from a year's perspective, is the 3805 still the 2004 A/V Receiver of the Year (as Wired would have us believe) or is it a "flash in the pan". That's the kind of in-depth reportage that I would like to see added to the site.
And until then, I'll keep coming back to learn more!
