I had some test samples here.
Tried pink noise and I could not read the meter properly as the volts just jumps around all over the place.
Had a 1KHz test tone and at 2.806 V (closest I could get to 2.83v) it read 96.1 dBA on sound meter.
On dBC on the meter it reads 96.5 all on slow.
I tried to get it as close as I could to 1m from the speaker.
Not sure how accurate as I had the meter sitting on a chair with blankets under it to raise it up.

I did try an upload a video that you may be able to view or download.
I shrunk it a bit and it is 6.3mb in size. I bumped the chair getting the video together and the reading is slightly different now in the video. Close enough I think for the video.

Than Seaton? You crazy, man, you crazy!
I know, right? I am crazy. But I refuse to buy from anyone who refuses to furnish me with baseline anechoic or pseudo-anechoic measurements.

I think they may have something to hide. :D

I mean if their measurements look like Ascend, Salk, Philharmonic, why would they not provide them?

Even if the on-axis were +/-3dB, that's good enough for most people. So why hide?

I don't want to hear any excuses like "But they won't measure like that in your room anyway". Excuses. Excuses. Nothing but more excuses. I hate excuses. I think it's utterly pathetic.

Just give me the gods-damn measurements and take it like a MAN. Yeah, we can handle the truth. :D

If you ask Nathan Funk to provide measurements for his speakers, he's not going to cowed behind some lame-a$$ excuses like a little sissy. :D

I think Seaton will provide whatever you want to take a look at. Oh, you were referring to Tekton.

Can we just switch the topic to Seaton now? Much more interesting speakers than Tekton if you ask me. If anyone is near one of the get togethers where they're demo'd, go give a listen, they're freakin fantastic!

Having trouble getting the Tascam to work with the lappy in loop back mode for calibration. Will leave that and try again on the weekend.

ADTG, what measurements would you ask for?
On axis and horizontal off axis (15, 30, 45 degrees, more would be nice, but not totally necessary) and impedance would be enough to get a pretty good idea. Vertical measurements (15, 30) and polars would be awesome, but not necessary. Even an on axis measurement that isn't overly smoothed (1/24) would be enough to at least get an idea.

The what now? What are you trying to do and with what? A tascam mic? I didn't know they made measurement mics.

What fuzz says.

But at least the listening window response like HTM. See, I'm not greedy. That's not much to ask.

Surely they measured SOMETHING, right?

They can't just put together some drivers in some cabinets and not measure at least the on-axis frequency response, right?

There are measurements for the Pendragons out there, while they aren't great they aren't the worst I have ever seen. They wouldn't be so bad if they didn't cost so much. What kills me is if you wanted high sensitivity speakers, you could get some Pi Threes or Fours or GedLees for about the same price and they provide measurements for their speakers, Pi has a whole battery of measurements for some of their speakers. Oh that's right, silly me, they don't have a fancy website, and they don't pay off reviewers.

I've compared about 12 different amplifiers through 3 different receivers running pure/direct and with some DSP.

I still am not sure you understand what class A means.
Maybe he thinks it's the grade the amp gets in school.

It is a Tuscam US-122mkII. Was going to use this in between the ECM8000 mike and lappy(has Phantom Power for using Condensor MICs). I spent some time on it and the best I got was something like there is too much deviation to make a calibration file.I will have to do some reading up on this and REW itself.

Are you sure the sample rates are the same for your output, input and in REW? Making sure all the sample rates match is a good place to start.
