I did quite a lot of research on TARA Labs cables before buying them. I bought them online without listening to them (Not a very smart move) but ended up with some really phenomenal cables. It's been a year now and I still love listening to them in my system as well as my Miles Davis jazz collection. I have recently purchased a pair of Cardas interconnects, based upon a friends recommendation. I also found them to be really impressive cables. I guess I’m trying to offer my personal views on how cables do matter in a good audio system...
I kind of get the impression that you're somehow associated with Tara and you've already been posting similar tidbits using different aliases hither and yon.
For those who don't know or don't remember, a number of years ago Tara was raided by the Feds and an undetermined amount of goods confiscated because they were found to be ordering cables from China and removing the Made In China identification stickers. In the US as well as other countries, consumers are entitled to know where the product they buy was made. I don't know how that played out but I would think Tara paid a fine while admitting no intentional intent to defraud consumers.
For a short time I was a member of Stereophile's audio forum many years ago. In one of the threads, Matthew Bond, a high ranking employee of Tara, was defending and promoting their cables. He pointed out that many users had sung Tara's praises after comparing them to the competition. Even reviewers tipped their hats. Was that hat tipping because to completely remove it might cause their brains to fall out? No doubt worthy of a program on Discovery Channel which sandwiches useful programming material with material to make the population dumber.
Wouldnt you know it, a new member on SP's forum appeared that said he was a user and gave his own testimonial. It was stated, as has been many times before, that how can anyone criticize the offerings if they haven't tried them? Maybe your system wasn't resolving enough or maybe you were a person who just didn't have the auditory ability for fine discrimination. A polite way of saying you're fvcking deaf.
As luck would have it, back then SP published the IP address of all posters. Lo and behold, Matthew Bond and the new poster had the exact same IP address!
