I'd still likely take the SB13 Ultra over a JL Fathom 113.

The JL or an SVS PB13 Ultra? Room is roughly 2500ft3. Click to expand... Watch the SVS Outlet specials, grab a SB13 Ultra for $1450 (I think that's what they put them at on outlet) and then a second for new for $1600. I believe they will give you the 10% combined purchase discount, so you'd be looking at about $2750. For music, I much prefer sealed. And the SB13 Ultra roars when it needs to. I think you'd be happy as a clam with dual SB13s.

B Beatmatcher247 Full Audioholic Mar 1, 2013 #23 I love my (2) JL F113s but if I did it again I would take the money I spent on them and get (4) SB13 Ultras... and over those I would have done a pair of funkywave 18" LMS 5400 builds powered by 4,000W amps each. That is what I'll be going to at some point in the future.

I mean taking energy loss and all that into consideration, a single 20A circuit can only output about 2000 watts anyway (2400 watts minus loss) right? So I don't get what good is having 2 x 4000 watts.

C canelli Audioholic Mar 1, 2013 #26 I bought the f112 over space concerns, and it has been a great purchase. The Svs sub I demoed for a different room just sounded different, and it was returned. Svs has great costumer service and I highly recommend giving their products a try.
