I've gotten a recommendation on Sundazed records (that they use original masters and sound nice) and I'm wondering if anybody has experience?
Thanks for the response. I'm happy to hear that actually - as I just got the Sun Singles Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis. I'm very excited to hear them both.I've got a bunch of Sundazed records, mostly Dylan, Cash, and other musicians from the 50s and 60s. Indeed, I think they sound great! However I should warn you that their remasters keep that old time sound intact; seems like Sundazed always try to remain faithful to the sonic character and balance of the original albums while providing more sonic refinement, clarity, smoothness and openness--no artificial boosting of the bass and treble here.
I'll send an update after 1st listen. It is the Original Sun Singles set.Sweet! If it wouldn't be too much trouble I'd love to know what you think about the Jerry Lee Lewis records once you hear 'em.
Thanks,
Oliver
I truly dig on any genre and would love recommendations.Indeed, free is a very good price! Deeds, just curious if you're interested in genres in addition to rock? IMHO the 50s and 60s was something of a golden age for quality focused classical and jazz recordings. Many popular titles have been lovingly remastered and reissued by labels such as Classic Records, Speakers Corner, and Acoustic Sounds. Also, for 60s rock I really love the Rhino labeled Doors box set I bought a while back--super duper sound quality and music!
