monkish54 Audioholic General Dec 6, 2012 #63 Sorry..misread. On the Subwoofer itself it should be LFE in..
M mfontmt Audioholic Intern Dec 6, 2012 #64 lol, I figured. It made more sense. I guess I should have left out the LFE out. I was really asking about the other three. The manual wasn't very clear. It said to use the L or R for most receivers. Then it goes on to say that the LFE In is for connecting to the subout or LFE output of a receiver. My receiver just says "subwoofer" above the output. Thanks again Monkish. Any advice on crossover freq with my Energy 5.0 Take Classics? I remember reading somewhere that I should just turn it up on the sub all the way. Not sure if this is right.

That is correct, you're going to let the receiver take care of that function for you, having the subwoofer also set with a low pass filter will cause you to have a far steeper rolloff than you want on the sub. The specs on the speakers say 115 hz on the low end....so pretty much set the crossover as high as it will let you (you want to cross over before the speakers start rolling off if possible). If you find that this makes the subwoofer to noticeable and easy to locate play around with it a little bit, you can set the crossover lower if you have to.

M mfontmt Audioholic Intern Dec 6, 2012 #67 Phase Error I am doing the Audyssey Calibration and I got a speaker phase error for my two fronts and center speakers. Funny thing is my wires are not crossed. They match up. Anybody ever encounter this? Could this be an error on Audysseys part or the speaker manufacturer?

If the problem persists, make sure the cables aren't wired incorrectly. Let us know..

P Paul Jubick Enthusiast Dec 7, 2012 #75 thanks grador, Dennon it is One other thing, I have seen many posts here with people buying Energy Take Classic 5.1 speakers(like me) but many of them are using a different subwoofer. Why? the Energy's come with a sub. Does it not make the grade?
