Don't forget that the other tradoff is bandwidth. Horns have a narrow bandwidth up top so your mains better be able to cover a wide bandwidth and keep up with the horn. Of course many drivers themselves, even not in a horn, will have high mass and inductive rolloff below 100hz.
Not sure what you're try to say here. Most subwoofers are crossed over around 60 to 80hz.

$299 for the Behringer iNuke 1000 (or $399 for the 3000 which I recommend for this particular build).
are these amps available with dual voltage? I would require one with 220V rating, else I might need my design to have a plate amp.

If you want to do woodworking try some shelves first. They are more forgiving and you'll learn a lot.
My first woodworking project ever:

If you are not good at working with wood, you could end up with something that looks like it fell off a truck and then got run over.
That's what sand-paper and fill is for. Also, if you use Duratex, it goes on thick to hide any minor blemishes too...

It's listed as compatible in the manual but you probably should call or email to verify.

You could also use a mini dsp and a ep400 or Peavey IPR.

My first project was speakers. My balcony is now too small to work on. :(

Believe it or not, some people just can't work with wood. It seems easy to me, but I've seen some things built that looked like they were from Dr. Seuss, or maybe Picasso.
