With a healthy $8K budget, just get a nice deal on B&W speakers and you will never hear any bad remarks or comments ever.:D

And even if you do get any bad remarks on any B&W speakers, they will be shot down in a hurry.:D

So buy B&W (speakers) and their sister company Rotel (receivers, pre-pros, amps).

I've never heard B&W in the same room as Revels, but I doubt the B&Ws can hold their own against the Revels.

Its all depending on which models you are comparing too. I've read reviews where they pitted PSB Image series towers against 4 times higher price Revels and the outcome was that Revels didn't blow away the much cheaper PSBs. They were marginally better but in no way did the Revels trounce the PSBs

since you havent a/b them, then doubt would be one choice of wording another would be i dont know. The 802's are probably the one of the most respected speakers avialable. I did hear the studio series from revel and the speaker had wonderful low end extension, but compared to the 802 the upper mid and highs seemed centered. I cant speak for the rest of their line, so i wont.
